  • where can i download this game??

  • Wow.... 0:14 Dorombo Gang rip-off (even their voices o_o ?! )...

  • tap 5 repeatedly and the girl has telechinetic powers! she lifts the others and rotates the poor guy in the air hehe

  • Hm .. the easter island golem is very similar to "Kazandan" from the anime/manga akazukin chacha.. and the blue demon is heavily inspired by Blanka from street fighter. is it really that hard to make a handful of monsters?

  • 6:05...I love the use of the music from Salamander (Lifeforce). Not to mention the boss looks highly resembles the first boss of said game. Only fitting since it's all from the same company.

  • Moais are from Chile not Brazil

    WTF

  • @bazzjedimaster THEY ARE FROM EASTER ISLAND

  • @PsiStarstormOmega981 which is part of Chile

  • @bazzjedimaster oh and brainy sounds 2 cute even though it is ugly in its own meaning

  • I always loved that feature: stand near the other player, and you can borrow their power lol. Dah-some!

  • The Brain is so cute when it squeaks...

  • min 05:33, the brain is the first boss from salamander!! so many cool references here, the Moai from Gradius and a clone of Blanka from SFII! Thanks for posting this!

  • looks really fun although the main characters are dressed a little weird

  • Easter Island statues in Brazil thats make alot of sense, also Diablo reminds me Blanka from SF

  • In the japanese version you won't get the flower in the begining if you choose moai as the first monster...

  • gotta loves these games man gotta loves these games...

  • WTF?! Moai in Brazil?!?!?!?!

The Moais are not from Brazil!! XD

  • @RazielFalkirk They're also not in outer space, but that didn't stop Konami from putting them there too.

  • konami guys are obsessed with moai statues ,all parodius games are full of them

  • The moai kinda look like DOH from Arkanoid

  • Konami need to make more 1 on 1 fighting games like this and Martial Champion. The closest thing they make to beat 'em ups these days is the No More Heroes series.

  • I like these games where you don't really have any defense. You just ruthlessly attack anything that moves and hope you don't die.

  • Moais make frequent appearances in Japanese-made video games.

  • @Duvmasta Well, the Konami ones, at any rate...

  • 02:00

  • 02:04 look at what the boy does

  • 0:20 - FIRIN' MAH LAZOR, BLAAAHHH!!!!

  • Looks like a great game!

  • Fight for strength and freedom prove the strength of our culture! Go our heroes!

    :D

  • you send me a link where you get off the game with emulator, I search but can not find: (

  • It's like watching an episode

  • @HyperSonicXtreme I'm pretty sure the whole point was to emulate a tokusatsu show, at least if the music is anything to go by.

  • i found this one thing that i hook it up into my usb and from there i hook up an old ps1 controller to it. its fuckin perfect man.those controllers work better than most pc gamepads and never break

  • 2:02 wtf is the guy doing to the golem? O.O

  • @Nouseeker maybe the same here 10:00

  • @Nouseeker And what about 2:25? Isn't it suppose to hurt the guy more than the monster?! :-P

  • @Nouseeker

lmao same shit i thought as soon as i saw it

  • this game is very good; only warzard and this get the "fight vs monsters" formula right

  • I remember this game, I´ve played a lot when I was 12 years old....how much coins I spended on it XD

  • Holy crap, a giant testicle, right at the start of the damn game!

  • I heard of this game from Bogleech

  • So this is what Gradius looks like as a fighting game...

And the Moai's Boss Theme is "The Old Stone Age" from Gradius II.

  • 0:14 Blatant ripoff of Yatterman villains Doronjo, Tonzra, and Boyacki.

  • What a bunch of bullies!

  • Holy crap, the music during that brain boss sounds like the boss music from Life Force!

  • dumbmanex, it doesn't just sound like Life Force's boss music, it IS Life Force's boss music! Or at least a remix of it.

  • this looks fucking awesome

  • Should've just played it online for 2 players.

  • Los moais son de la isla de pascua en chile D: < no hay en brazil 00:43

  • everybody loves brain golem

  • Good god Kotetsu's outfit is dodgy. As is that humping move he does at 2:04

  • I loved doing the dual attacks with friends back in this game...

    DOUBLE HOSINKO!

This was such a odd game though...

  • Fighting bosses! Cool!

  • Konami, Capcom, and Sega made these beat-em-up games the best! Large, colorful characters with awesome backgrounds and wild effects, especially Konami!

  • @sidearmsalpha No kidding, dude! Those 3 companies as well as IREM should permanently make licensed games!

  • Wich mame should i use for the xbox version? Because this one does not work on the mame128plus.

  • Wow, SERIOUS nostalgia trip!! I don't know how many allowances I spent on this game when I was a kid, but it must have been a subsatntial amount. My mom even asked me "What are you spending this money on?!" I just took her to the arcade, pointed at the game and said, "Ijust have to finish it." It was that simple.

Thanks a lot for posting this and giving back a treasured piece of my teens.

  • I like hearing that story..I can relate to it alot..

  • Moai Head, Brainee, I love Gradius!

  • What are these "well known konami enemies"?

  • XBOXHUEG, the "well known konami enemies" are Moai, the Easter Island head that appears in Gradius(except it has a body in this game), and Brain Golem(called Brainy in this game), the first boss from Life Force/Salamander.

  • There's also a Ducker, which are those little walking gun enemies in every Gradius game

  • yAY, BRAIN GOLEM AND CLASSIC GRADIUS MUSIC!

  • Never knew about the existence of this game. Looks cool though!

  • at 2:04 cotetsu fucked the enemy

  • I'm sure that white dragon was also a boss in the first SNES Goemon game.

  • It's kind of like Megaman: The Power Battle.

  • @geekgo4

More like Fatal Fury. MegaMan: The Power Battle wasn't made, yet.

  • Hot dogs! I remember this game! Awesome vid!

  • ...was that wind god/demon from Mr. Goemon?

  • What a rare game. Too bad i never found it in any arcade, still it would be a cool game to have on a MAME emulator!

  • there was no reason it was just default selection. either way i think all the characters have the same commands so I think it wouldn't make much difference to gameplay since I was button mashing.

  • Thank you so much for making these! I wonder if you could play bucky o'hare...if you can even find it. You're really good at these games, and I know it takes practice.

Oh. Why did you pick these two instead of the two guys? Just curious because I haven't played the game.

  • Everytime the Brain Golem shows up, we know what tune we expect to hear

  • Wow this is game looks cool. The sprites are large and nicely animated with lots of cool scaling effects. That underwater stage looked particularly nice. Game play looks like loads of fun too.

  • ..Brain Golem!

Damn.. How many incarnations does that brain have?

  • ah, they even use Poison of snake for the fight with Brain Golem.

  • Any Gradius fan could pick out a few character references in this game. The fight with "Brainy" is clearly mimicing Salamander's first boss, including the level too. The moai head is a dead giveaway too. I've played through this game myself and I found myself against a huge serpent similiar to that of Salamanders' third boss.
