Hm .. the easter island golem is very similar to "Kazandan" from the anime/manga akazukin chacha.. and the blue demon is heavily inspired by Blanka from street fighter. is it really that hard to make a handful of monsters?
6:05...I love the use of the music from Salamander (Lifeforce). Not to mention the boss looks highly resembles the first boss of said game. Only fitting since it's all from the same company.
min 05:33, the brain is the first boss from salamander!! so many cool references here, the Moai from Gradius and a clone of Blanka from SFII! Thanks for posting this!
Konami need to make more 1 on 1 fighting games like this and Martial Champion. The closest thing they make to beat 'em ups these days is the No More Heroes series.
i found this one thing that i hook it up into my usb and from there i hook up an old ps1 controller to it. its fuckin perfect man.those controllers work better than most pc gamepads and never break
Konami, Capcom, and Sega made these beat-em-up games the best! Large, colorful characters with awesome backgrounds and wild effects, especially Konami!
Wow, SERIOUS nostalgia trip!! I don't know how many allowances I spent on this game when I was a kid, but it must have been a subsatntial amount. My mom even asked me "What are you spending this money on?!" I just took her to the arcade, pointed at the game and said, "Ijust have to finish it." It was that simple.
Thanks a lot for posting this and giving back a treasured piece of my teens.
XBOXHUEG, the "well known konami enemies" are Moai, the Easter Island head that appears in Gradius(except it has a body in this game), and Brain Golem(called Brainy in this game), the first boss from Life Force/Salamander.
there was no reason it was just default selection. either way i think all the characters have the same commands so I think it wouldn't make much difference to gameplay since I was button mashing.
Thank you so much for making these! I wonder if you could play bucky o'hare...if you can even find it. You're really good at these games, and I know it takes practice.
Oh. Why did you pick these two instead of the two guys? Just curious because I haven't played the game.
Wow this is game looks cool. The sprites are large and nicely animated with lots of cool scaling effects. That underwater stage looked particularly nice. Game play looks like loads of fun too.
Any Gradius fan could pick out a few character references in this game. The fight with "Brainy" is clearly mimicing Salamander's first boss, including the level too. The moai head is a dead giveaway too. I've played through this game myself and I found myself against a huge serpent similiar to that of Salamanders' third boss.
where can i download this game??

I like these games where you don't really have any defense. You just ruthlessly attack anything that moves and hope you don't die.
