in aircraft engine rebuilds we're taught not to prelube bits in a rebuild with grease because it prevents oil getting to bearings and bits during the first startup.. and isn't as good a lube as light oil. Instead we use "steam oil" which is about the consistency of treacle..and flows off quite readily with the first burst of engine heat allowing lighter oils to do their job... either way good job mate: hint.. always charge by the job not the hour eh
