Turning to Islam wasn't a quick undertakling, I first was introduced to it while attending college about 20 years ago where I met several Iranian and other Muslim students.Ispent much time with them asking and learning many things about the wars and violence in the middle east, and Islam itself. Hi 50griz, thank-you for your response. The two bibles I read, Catholic and NIV, there has been minor translations and interpretations and there is more scientific concrete proof there than anywhere. I do understand that the Qur'an is unique and once it was written about 18 years after Muhummad's death, it has not changed.
I suppose how I view the various Word of God is looking at the book itself and see which book teaches right and wrong, living a good life, loving those around you and most importantly, following the word of God. I do know one needs to respect there neighbour regardless on beliefts and creed, so it is good to agree to disagree I suppose. I am always interested in learning why people convert to one religion to another.

Turning to Islam wasn't a quick undertakling, I first was introduced to it while attending college about 20 years ago where I met several Iranian and other Muslim students.Ispent much time with them asking and learning many things about the wars and violence in the middle east, and Islam itself. I honesly could never feel or realize the virtues and saving grace of Christianity.

I suppose how I view the various Word of God is looking at the book itself and see which book teaches right and wrong, living a good life, loving those around you and most importantly, following the word of God. I do know one needs to respect there neighbour regardless on beliefts and creed, so it is good to agree to disagree I suppose. I am always interested in learning why people convert to one religion to another.

I can't blame you for finding it hard to understand. It took the early Chruch 300 years to put into words what God says about himself in the Bible. But Why Should God be easy to understand. "You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth" By refusing to accept God's revelation of himself in Jesus you have rejected the true God and beleived in an idol that is no God at all.

Great - we are agreed that Jesus does make this claim to divinity based on His own words. So two God's? Infact we have not plumbed the depths yet - for Jesus goes on to speak about His Holy Spirit who is another Counsellor like him. Why not three God's then? Because Jesus said also "I and the Father are One." It seems our understanding of what God is like is just too small. We have unintentionally made God in our image, by saying God cannot be three in one. He must be like man, one in one.

Well "I and the father are one" that does not mean he is the father, coz there is another verse where it destroys it completely... He is not even divine, coz divine has to be all-knowing.. Even in human form.. Mark 13:32 No one knows not even the Son, but Only the Father..

It is not Christians you have a problem with but God's word. If God has revealed himself to be Father Son and Holy Spirit in One Being who are you or I to mock Him. Just because we can not "conceive of God like this " is immaterial. Who are you to decide what God Is? He has revealed himself in His word in this way. To deny what He has revealed and make God in your own image is idolatory ( The 2nd of the 10 commandments)

Hmmm, you need to careful not to twist Jesus' words. He did not say "I speak the truth" he said I am... the Truth,".
Ask yourself how can a mere man be the Truth? if that were the case then before Jesus was born truth did not exist. But we read constantly in the Bible God's word is truth. And God is repeatedly described in the bible as the God of Truth. Answer yourself then, truthfully, who was jesus claiming to be?

The passage from Luke refers to the Virgin Mary, it records her words of praise to God. She refers to God as "God my saviour". Read on from Romans 3:23, You will see that Christ not only paid for the sins of those who would subsequently beleive in Him, but was the means by which the sins of those who came before - Abraham, Moses, and all those who placed their faith In Gods word are saved. The sacrifices of the Old testament pointed forward to the real sin attoning sacrifice of Christ.

He is claiming not only to speak the truth but to Be the Truth - the Only way to God. John 14:6. Also he proclaims that if we have seen Him we have seen God. Luke 4: 16-20 Jesus reads from Isaiah and says today this is fullfilled in your presence. Clearly he did not believe isaiah fake. Also He said "I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Thai, you refer to Mark 13:32, Again you misquote Jesus, he does not say only God knows, but only the Father knows. The full quote is telling. "About that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Note that Jesus sets himself above every created thing, even the angels. I am afraid I don't follow your logic. Why can Father, Son and Holy Spirit not have order in their relationship? About God's nature we can only accept his revelation.

Its quite clear to any one that these two characters contradict each others, not different, but no one can gather these two characters together. This makes total confusion, and God never makes confusion. How can you believe without proofs? If no one can understand how Jesus is God and Man, so your faith will be blind, what was the religion of Jesus? Mathew 28:18-20 gives you a clear proof that Jesus was not God & He was a messenger of God. Lets analyze that. God gives power, and never needs or takes any power from anyone, so as God gives Jesus all the power in the heaven& earth, so simply GOD ALMIGHTY CAN TAKE THE POWER BACK if He wants. i can imagine a God using the restroom. A God who came to His creation to save us. Who became human in order to save. Jesus said in revelation 22:13,16 that He is the Alpha and Omega. that is what HE said. which is AL Awal Al Akher. therefore He is God. Jesus did say not to take his message anywhere but the lost sheep. But that was while he was living. He appeared to peter and paul and God revealed His plan to save all who believed in his Only Son. John 8:19 simply stats he is a prophet, every prophet in his time was the way, truth and the life. Everyone should only know God trough that prophet. Makes no sense this vers, Christians dont understand the Jewish culture. And the second one is out of context.

I don't see how John 8:19 shows he was prophet. There is absolutely no coherence with that verse and the subject of Jesus being a prophet.
Jesus made way too many comments that it's harshly easy to know that he is proclaiming to be God.
