  • I think the idea was that people will love you for buying something that is for a good cause. There was only the one girl who kissed him, hardly "anonymous sex." Besides, you could buy the same laptop for the same price without the (product)RED donation, but it's better than nothing.

  • I don't see how you can argue that fighting AIDS will somehow boost your sex appeal. The concept behind this commerical is fundamentally flawed just like the the entire PRODUCT(RED) campaign is entirely corrupt, with more than 85% of it's earnings going to advertising and the other 15% going to organizations in Africa that don't necessarily fight AIDS.

    Finally, if you're going t encourage people to fight/prevent AIDS, DO NOT promote anonymous sex.

  • @defnotyou2b The (RED) program uses EVERY dollar it gets to buy pills to give to the people and children in Africa with HIV/AIDS. One pill for one day per person. If you were to buy 50$ (RED) converse then you could keep 50 people alive and give them a better chance for survival. It is not boosting the mans sex appeal. When people saw that he had a (RED) laptop they were congratulating him on buying it. =]
