If your cops start driving Subaru Foresters then make sure you have sturdy stall converters & torqued up turbos. Turbos are fine, aslong as you are able to keep your revs up to avoid turbo lag.
Alot of truck owners own stick shift trucks, but if you are able to find a truck with a good standard (automatic) gearbox have a healthy supercharger & torque converter, should be fine.
I hope for your sake they keep driving Crown Vics, costs alot to keep up with the police fleet upgrades.

Live in Sydney, many of our roads are as old as our colonial past. They make your dirt roads look like 6 lane freeways.
Yep, no jeep to drive on the dirt roads of Sydney's outskirts, we use our 4 door saloons, all you need is a limited slip diff & the ability to drive on ball bearing like gravel.
If you don't have a saloon, how are you supposed to outrun the cops doing 240kph?

WRX's are not designed for boulder busting, they are mainly a tarmac or gravel thrasher.
Running from the cops is different from outrunning the cops, when you get a radar lock & gas it, that is an outrunning.
You are right about Crown Vics, I wouldn't buy one for a paddock basher.

Well, considering I have outrun the cops in my car, I don't think it would be easy to outrun the cops in a huge jeep.

There is plenty of it, have you ever been to Stockton Beach or Fraser Island?
Plenty of places in the Victorian Dandenong Range & up in the Adelaide Hills too, just have to go looking for it.
