  • I almost die and the lava caves ..... sadly i did die BECUASE THE STUPID LAVA worms or something O_O

  • I can't bealive how many misile expansions I missed...

  • Aah...the Lava Caves

Metroid Prime also has its own version of Hell

  • that is the norfair's theme of super metroid.

  • Which gun did you use at 7.27? Is it missiles?

  • Respond to this video... WHERE WERE THIS VID YESTERDAY?! i had to do all the way to part 11 by my self

  • i made so many mistakes at 5:49 to die that i know that lava level off by heart lol

  • I don't know if it's just me, but Samus' arm cannon always looks abnormally large in the small elevator clip at 6:19 compared to what it looks before and after that scene.

I mean, look how much smaller it is at 6:28.

Who knows, maybe I need my glasses adjusted. XP

  • Man I would of never know you could jump the morph ball with the wii remote without this post. I do not recall it being mentioned in game play or I missed it. Thanks for the great help

  • Thank you, I finally got the Energy Tank!

  • capoland How do you bounce two times huh??

  • whoa..when i enter that room i take damagr all the time :/ whats wrong?

  • You need the Varia Suit to withstand heat.

  • Thank you so much for the walkthrough man. I love these games but i dont seem to be very good at it. I wander around aimlessly for hours. I dont see how youre supposed to beat these without a walkthrough.

  • that's the meaning of this game! but if you're stuck, try to get into rooms you havent been before, that always helps me

  • the beginning of the Ice Vally music kinda reminded me of the Sanctuary Fortress theme from MP2

  • [Douche bag Voice] Lava Caves [Douche bag Voice]

  • @takishan Agreed ^_^

  • r the controls identical to MP3?

  • Yep. The only thing different is that + is used to switch beams instead of Hypermode.

  • hey how do you jump in ball form?

  • Flick the Wii Remote up. There is no way to do this on the Gamecube version.

  • awesome video i'm actually watching it because i dont what to do on metriod prime

  • where is the jump ball

  • Is it possible to do the Scan Dash in this version?

  • Nope.

  • HOLY crap! how u have 55 missiles already??? fuck im missing out... i only have 20 lol, can u make a video showing how to find all the upgrades, or am I on my own?

  • I have to tell you this expert is fast

  • When you enter a room, listen for any pulsing sounds. It's much easier if you turn up the volume a little bit.

  • umm when u see a burower come out of the ground SHOOT IT!

    then u had killed it

  • I should make a vid to explain it esaier YourGuardianEngel...

  • All I was explaining was the process you had to follow in the GC version, which was a b*tch in comparison to how easy it will be in the Metroid Prime: Trilogy pack.

  • with this it will be easier and faster... :)

  • bummer but really lava caves...LAVA CAVES!!! come on couldn't they have thought of something better

  • will the new game have the same narrations and options for lock on and free aim

  • It will have lock on/free aim but i don't think it will have the narrator.

  • 0:02 LAVA CAVES ha ha ha :~)

WTF his has a really dark voice

    LOL

  • I completed this after echoes lol

    This one seemed more confusing.

  • Japan: Lava Caves

    Canada: Magmoor Carvens

  • LAVUH CAHVES

  • 5:55. That's probably the only instance in the NPC! version where the controls make the game almost cheap.

  • Not really, you still have to time it right.

  • Well what u usually gotta do is the whole, "set bomb #1, right before bomb #1 detonates, set bomb #2, let bomb #1 propel you into the air, at height of bomb jump set bomb #3, fall back down into blast of bomb #2, propel into bomb #3's blast, then hold analog stick in direction of the ledge u wanna get to.

if u screw up the setting of bomb #1 & 2, the plate ur on breaks, and u fall down & gotta do it all over.

that happened 2 me 5 times b4 i realized i already got that missile expansion pack

  • instead of doing #1 shake the controle up and lay a bomb then you fall to the ground jump again and you will catch up with the bomb you laid in the air...that will make you jump the same but with just one bomb, but if you want to jump more while the bomb in the air explodes lay a bomb there and one at height jump... youwill fall once again and rapidly jump to catch up with the 2nd bomb in the air and if you time it right that blast should send you flying to the highest bomb you laid...

  • yeah cant wait for tryligy

  • I can't believe we have to pay again. They should just let us read off of our gamecube disk all of the etched stuff for varification.

  • lol y does that music sound ilke it came from another game!?!?!? ia always bugs me tryin to figure out if it is! can some1 tell me if it is original or not?

  • lol It's the original music. But i think it sounds familiar to you since the music in Magmoor Caverns is in Super Metroid too.

  • where can we get this game?(FOR WII)

  • There's no other version right now besides the Japanese version. The place where i got that is a website called play-asia.

  • So I take it you can read Japanese?

  • Lol nope. I wish i could though.

  • i got a release date for august by a nintendo world recipitant!!!!! either august or fall this year = the official release date

  • Sweet. Hopefully they're right.

  • official website says August 24 (so yeah august or fall this year)

  • I thought it was Magmoor caverns?

  • It is. But in Japan it's Lava Caves.

  • Yes! The missile glitch still works!

    Gonna get this!

  • I cant wait for the MP2 to come out.

  • Where did you get this? PLEASE TELL ME!! I MUST KNOW!!!!!

  • I got it at play-asia. It's a very good online import store.

  • Is that in Asia? It sounds like it to me...

  • I'm not sure. But the site is in English and i myself think it's a very good site to buy from. I actually got this Metroid game a day early from them.

  • ooh you have jump ball in this game?

  • Yup.

  • lava caves!!!!!bahh hah aha hah roflmfao especially the way that guy said it lol!

  • its funny japanese games has a little bit english or is that just in there language

  • Interesting that it's called "Lava Caves" in Japan. I think I like the more creative Magmoor Caverns better, though.

  • The Magmoor caverns are named after the "Magmoors." They're lava snakes that spit fire like the one shown at 1:16 That is a magmoor.

  • Retro did a really good job on the controls. Metroid Prime 3 shows that you can have an intense FPS-style adventure using Wii controls. I am so glad Nintendo decided to port the first two Prime games to the Wii, since it is very hard to find a GameCube version these days that isn't scratched to hell.

Even to this day I am still impressed at what Retro did with the graphics... Both Prime1 and Prime 2 look almost as good as Super Mario Galaxy.

  • Hell, they look way better than galaxy. Have you ever looked in FP in galaxy? they graphics don't look no where near as good. I'll go nuts if they don't bring this out in UK!

  • I would say just sharper. But still, they look really good.

  • Now that they have put the morphball jump, it's much easier to take that energy tank. Before, if you did wrong, you broke the block and fall. Oh, and you're playing in the super easy mode. Nintendo and his fucking casual gamers.

  • Meh, the game always seemed super easy to me, even in Hard mode. Now Prime 2 and 3 (only in Hypermode) is a different story...

  • I've always preferred the visuals in this Prime to the other two, because I think Retro went with a more "animated" style in Echoes and Corruption. Does anybody agree with me?

  • I don't know about animated. I think the environments got more stranger as the Prime series progressed, but the Metroid series has really prided itself in letting the player explore strange, alien worlds. There were some truly alien locations in Prime 3, but I really liked them all. The only thing that changed is Samus' character model which I much preferred in Prime 1.

  • Did they rename Magmoor Caverns, Lava Caves?

  • No, that's just how it is in the Japanese version of the game. The Japanese Gamecube Version had "Lava Caves" too.

  • Nice video. I really want to get this game. It actually looks better than Metroid Prime 3 in my opinion.

When does this game come out in the USA, or has it been confirmed?

  • Nope, theres no set date yet.

  • Oh, alright. Well thanks, man.

  • Why don't you charge your beam to collect health spheres that are in the poison gas?

    That's what I always did...

  • I don't know... i normally do. It's not really that big of deal.

  • Mm, okay I was just kinda bothered.

  • Geez the graphics on this game (which is a GAMECUBE game) look better than most wii games today. that's kinda sad

  • Wii game actually. This is the Wii remake. They improve the graphics in the wii remakes.

  • LAVA CAVES

  • Door seems to open much faster. Is this true?

The added controls make traversing the worlds much smoother from the looks of it. I'm glad they added the morph ball jump with the Wiimote flick. I hate doing bomb jumps.

  • Yeah, they do seem to open faster.

  • Would meta Kraid show up in this version bc they drop that boss battle when the developers ran out of time.

  • No. This i a port of the game, not a remake. So it's the same game, just with added Wii controls, and the token system from Metroid Prime 3

  • I cant believe how good it still looks......it looks way better than the other primes imo

  • Makes me wonder if the Luminoth in Prime 2 will be fully voiced when it comes out

  • Wow, that would be really weird.

  • Won't happen.

  • It's much more easy to collect teh energy tank (just before phedrana drifts) with the new jump ball capability !!

  • Oh i know. I freakin love it.

  • Great videos! I can't wait until it reaches American shores. Anyway, do you know (or have noticed) if the 4 LEDs displayed on top of Samus' helmet still indicate the battery life of the Wii Remote like in Corruption? Or are they just like in the original GCN release, as in just for show?

Just a small detail I would like to know, heh.

  • I don't think it shows you the battery life. Because i just looked at my first video, and i know i didn't have full battery.

  • Yeah, you can already sequence break (not really sure if this is considered that) to get the Artifact of Nature in the Lava Pit and the Missile Expansion in the Triclops Pit.

It's hard to get the Missile Expansion though since you have to keep on shooting to locate the invisible platforms.

  • Scratch that, I think you'd need the Space Jump Bots for those. But you can still get those early (after getting Morph Ball Bombs though) unless they put up a barrier between the ledge leading to the room with the boots and your gunship.

  • I certainly hope that narrator is disableable. "Lava Caves!"

Can't wait to see you play through Phendrana.

  • The narrator is only in the Japanese version for the gc version (PAL had a little bit of him, also), so it's likely the same here.

Oh, and the japanese version uses Lava Caves for Magmoor and Ice Valley for Phendrana for some reason.
