@supereater14 It just switches to TTY4. By default, there are 6 TTYs. And the seventh is X.

Thanks as the lastest beta of Ubuntu will not switch of properly, so hopefully this will cure it.

Is it a problem with a 9.10 beta as I had the same problem (the instal froze), so I installed 9.04 instead.
