By squashing/squishing the bug the hips drive the rear foot down into the ground therefore virtually eliminating forward weight shift, during the swing movement the body needs to freely shift forward into a strong straight front foot/leg with the rear hip rotating forward with the knee and foot pivoting forward bringing the rear foot upon it's shoe toe and then slightly resting back on it's ball area after contact is made.
they BOTH know alot about hitting mechanics. I like the fact that in the instructors comments he didn't mention the "staying back" that we all used to hear. You can "squash the bug" and keep balanced without losing the power of hitting off the front pivot axis of the front leg. He also kept his front shoulder in, leading arm slightly bent (not completely straight as most teach) and struck the ball exactly in the power "triangle" formed by his hands and shoulders.
Where can I get these bands? Hopfully I can use them to wrestle. I might play football this year as well but, I mean Breaking an arm or leg kills my wrestling which would suck because this year I'm going for at least one medal from a tournament D:
Hey 12 year old. thanks. some people just have to make comments to make themselves feel better. The instructor here played College and minor leage ball and the lefty is currently in college hitting .427
haha, do you play baseball? just because they aren't line drives doesn't mean they aren't good swings. This baseball club/academy/association, or whatever you would like to call it, is very well known for putting kids into college for baseball.
can some one tell me where i get those resistant bands.
