  • It's actualy the south indian counterpart of the sitar, or shall i say the sister of sitar. Sitar is a north indian instrument.

  • This is a Saraswati Veena. Coolcrave is right, it's the sister of the north indian counterpart, sitar...Big sitar. Comparable to Surbahar, but this is the original instrument, eldest of all sitar-like instruments. Originating in persia, evolved by master craftsmen and religeous homage to Goddess Saraswati.
