i also have a hard time with the lpd8 and reason 5...it dont want to read the knobs...does any 1 know how to program the knobs to like for instance the lfo on a subtractor...or any thing..
Hi there can someone help me...I'm using Reason 3 with the LPD8. In Preferences -> Does the LPD8 appear as an installed AkAI device? I had to manually set mine up as an 'other' device. I cant get the AKAI to trigger any sounds in reason. The Editor is set as: PAD1: Note=C1, CC=0 PC=0. Any help would be great, thanks.
....Also, no need to do any special midi routing for clip launch fun: Drop a 4 bar loop into arrange view. Chop it into 8 clips. Drop those clips into sesh view track. Select all clips. set follow command for all to 'next' with 1/8 launch (need to set the play time to suit the bpm).
Assign each clip cell to a pad on you lpd8 and start quantised beat jugglin with consdtant midi feedback.
Ableton Live: insert an extra midi track with its midi 'in' set to recieve notes from your drum machine (eg: drum rack). -Have that new midi track send that midi info to your LPD8's midi channel (this can be set in the editor).
what software you using? I've installed Reason 6 but i dont like it. answer me please ;) thanks
