When it comes to country, Stonewall is the one I want to see at the Opry. I have admired him since childhood and have seen him at the Opry several times. He is always a gentleman and a seasoned performer. Thank's, Stonewall.
Quality country music, nothing like the junk they put out now and try to call it country. Alot of pioneering went on as these vocalists put out one hit after another. they adapted to the changes and made it seem as though it had always been.
There are several versions of this song, but none attain to the aching heartfelt persuasion of the original. Stonewall Jackson know how to deliver a country song.
why all the hating on hank jr jr? assjack incorporates country elements it doesnt claim to be the original thing ,and appeals to an updated audience, i happen to think that as a band it's higher quality music than any modern pop, and a great live show! just like there are different sounds to music from all genres across the spectrums of time, all newer genres of music were inspired by the older artists with out copying them entirely.
I really love ol Stonewall! This is my favorite from him, but, I like many of his songs! It's a shame we don't hear this kind of real country music any more ! Thank the Lord for youtube! :)
This brings back great memories. I remember Stonewall autographing a copy of this 45 for me when our radio station sponsored his concert in the 60s! My all time favorite Stonewall Jackson song (along with "Why I'm Walkin").
Some real, true country. Don't listen to this if you're too depressed but it's great music and an authentic voice for this genre. I love the song even though it's so sad.
"TOO OLD & TOO COUNTRY" Hahaha haha ha ha hahahaha ha !
Isn´t that what they say about superior old vintage vines ?

One of my favorite Stonewall Jackson songs. The others are "Life to Go" and "BJ the DJ." The steel guitar riff in this song does it a lot of justice.

Stonewall Jackson, the real deal as far as real country music goes. And you can understand every word he sings. Been listening to him since 1960.
