@Wunderfunk Hitler was not ineffable. worship should never be directed toward a fallible human, but only toward an infallible God. Despite all of the bad things people say about the Crusades, 1) they began as reactionary skirmishes against advancing Islamic skirmishes, 2) like it or not, they provided Europe with much cultural exchange and enrichment. I don't condone the horrors the Catholic Church did in the Middle Ages, but the crusades did not worship God, they listened to a fallible man.

@fortponce more correct analogy is if a Judge finds you guilty of a crime and sentences you to a 100 lashes, but the Judge happens to be your father and he loves you so much, therefore, he steps down from the podium and takes the lashing in your place. the key is you have to remember what he did for you, the knowledge that what you did was wrong and that someone loves you so much to take the fall in your stead, so you'll never falter the same way again.

I'm not muslim, therefore I do not believe the koran is authoritative of God. however, to the muslims, it is. And God certainly can have another covenant with them that is specific to them. that does not bring into question God's infallibility IMO.

Just to clarify and inform: Angels are not "blond and gay." Angels (with a capital A) actually are described in the Bible to have 1) many heads...of beasts and 2) eyes all over their bodies and 3) are wreathed in flames and 4) did and will again bring about the destruction of the world in the Apocalypse (things like hurling meteors onto the earth and slaughtering a third of mankind will be on the menu).
