  • I watch this video every year and cry as if it is the first time viewing. Terry, thank you for this keepstake. I used to see you at Saint Mary's University Gorsebrook Lounge in the late 1970's early 1980's. You're an inspiration!

  • Tomorrow we honour the brave, we honour the strong, we honour those who died for our freedom and way of life. WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, the battlefield matters not. What matters is that they gave the ultimate sacrifice to save us. The very least you can do is dawn a poppy, and honour them with your silence at the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month. And to honour those who serve now, for god's sake when you see them in passing thank them.

  • remarkable footage, have always loved this song and orig. video by terry kelly, but your version is also fantastic putting faces to names and pictures/footage to the stories about the living HELL of war and the heros who serve and have served, makes us all realize even more the personal side of it...many many thanks for this excellent video..."lest we forget" dorothy

  • i love how americans look down on canadian armed forces untill i wip out a history book and show em' the result of the war of 1812. needless to say, they dont teach it in high school in the states.....they need to feel invunerable.

i plan to go to france someday and visit one of those grave sites near the normandy beaches.

  • that doesnt mean i dont have respect for everyone else (allies and axis)

  • i have respect for the canadians and many other of our former colonies who stood with us in WW2 when they had the choice unlike WW1

    -- from Great Britain

  • ok i just wanna say that im not telling a lie but today at my school terry kelly came and he sang pittance of time and mama likes to rock'n'roll, he also played the guitar and piano for the songs and told us storys about how it was being blind as he was growing up as a kid, he told us that even tho hes blind, if u pput your mind to it, u can accomplish anything, good man and this was a great video, thank you for sharing it

  • I'm a US army ranger I've fought with canadians. Good men good soldiers. Good video. I've bled for my country and will soon bleed again.

  • My grandfather do the second world war and he die there......I'm the first military in my family after him i just want to say thanks for everyone your support is really appreciate

  • i am a 15 year old army cadet, and it makes me sick when during my school assembly idiots jump around and talk. I swear to god i have more respect for the dirt on my combat boots than i do for those people. Its weird how people in other countries respect Canadian soldiers more than Canadians do. I hope that one day people will be more respectful to the reason that Canada and a lot of other countries are free.

  • @mih987777 well said... same with my school but i get mad at them later and we have armycadets come in to our school as whell

  • thanks to all the men and women who have served us so well becuse of them I am free.

  • @annaneemity well agreed

  • @themini564 thats really nice of you.

  • Spiderman and superman are NOTHING compared to these REAL LIVE HEROS.

    Lest we forget.

They died so we could have freedom.

    This song makes me cry.

  • i will always remember them lots of family have not have fathers ormothers and yes it is a pittance of time but still i dont get why people dont stand in silence its only 1-3 minutes that ur asked to stand for these people that is the least we can do they gave us freedom and peace.

  • These are what real heros look like. I wont ever forget.

  • i think this song rocks i get teary sometimes but what i am trying to say is that i take this day very seriously and that i think that it is not fair to the families that have lost a brother a sister father mother etc. i just cry every rememberence day

  • No words will do this video justice. Thank you for posting this, TashaRules.

  • LEST WE FORGET THOSE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN. I always feel like crying because this song is so touching!!!

  • Lest we forget

I will never forget that these people died in order to give us the privilege of living in a free country. these people died for people they never knew and people that they might have considered enemies, but they also died for their friends and families. they truly are the heroes of our time.

i get teary eyed when i listen to this song, thank you so much for posting this!

  • poor soldiers i love this song ii sang this song in grade.4 in the rememberance day assembly

    lest we forget.

  • R.I.P brave boys

  • Thank you Tasha for posting this video, makes us all stop and think for a moment about how lucky we really are to have our troops fighting for freedom and world peace. In peace may they rest, may we never forget why they died.........

  • Je me souviens

    Allons-Y!

  • it shouldnt be just for canaidian soldiers it shoulcd be for all solders in this world right

  • i love this it gets me to thinking

  • Thank-you Tasha for posting this video.

  • ~im peace may they rest may we never forget why they died~

my great great uncle nicky and his wife were killed in world war 1 and i lost so many family members in the holocaust and when i hear this song i cry for them and other times i can't cry i don't why but its so hard to imagine how many people have died and are dieing now.. people who make jokes about this stuff listen to the first parts of the song ebcause thats what i think about those who make fun or war members and wars themselves..

  • this was played for my class on rememberance day.. it's very good..thnx terry kelly

  • yeah same here, many people in my class cried, beacuse they had granparents or great grandparents who fought and died in the war.

in peace may they rest, lest we forget.

  • †~May We Never Forget Our Young Become Vets ~†

  • Poignant song. Good to support ALL the troops currently serving. Whatever nationality. Two minutes a year is not a lot to ask. God bless them. For the ones left behind, may your God go with you and give you strength.

  • Really? I discovered this in french class! What a coincidence. This is a very beautiful

song, won't you agree? It inspired me to write a poem about peace and war, heh... well enough of my lifetime story, sorry :3

  • Nice!! I'm a french canadian:P lol I wrote a poem too !That's wierd:P lol!

  • Hmm, what school do you go to? (not trying to be stalker-ish...yeah)

  • Btw, i'm canadian too. Though i'm asian, roflness, go asianness!

  • No one cares that you're Asian, it's irrelevant, so don't mention it.

  • I was replying to someone, not to everyone.

  • I agree with you though, I just find it fun to scream out "I'M ASIAN" for some reason, it's completely stupid but satisfying to me. One question though, wouldn't you have said that no one cares that i'm canadian also? It said it in the same comment. I'm just wondering

  • hah thats funny but some of the kids at my school think that htis means nothing but to all the lives lost in WW1 and WW2 but i get in trouble if i try to tell them me and my class are actualy doing the rememberance day and i take this celebration so serious
