There was a lovely, vintage elevator in the university library that had a manual door. Sadly, that elevator was decommissioned a few years ago due to a rotting floor. I really miss that elevator.
Great lift! Actually in Hong Kong there are also quite a lot of such antiques with original fixtures. The sudden stop on levelling is actually normal for single speed AC models (AC/1) as for this one.
Look nice elevator but when you entry for the elevator to see view was bit too dark. Of course they elevator needs upgraded for brand new elevator more bright colour and new light better than that. That old elevator is since from 1940's is probably working for elevator but should let them call elevator engineering needs upgraded to made smoother both way new slide doors better than that. Look pretty old elevator at the moment. It nice isn't.
There is a beautiful old staley elevator of this type, on 225th Central Park West. The entrance door in the lobby is gold with red flowers painted at the top of the door. Totally cool!
