I hope you understand, he can'tt play that way consistently, but took "mini-breaks " every few seconds. This allows him to regain bloodflow through his hands. The constant "mini-breaks"- alows a "burst" of energy; not to be confused with long endurance-- but spotty 'Burn Quick"-displays of "quick" cho0ps.... Could he play a whole song at that burnout speed? NO! Could he keep that up in a 13 minute competition? NO. Take it for what is worth. -A good drummer!!!!
grats to oien... but i am honestly getting tired of low quality videos that are from 2010 and 2011... hd cameras arent that expensive and they make things like this look good... i am the 20th "bass drummer" because of that (bass is the shit though)
Before he left home he thought to himself "screw this, I'm leaving my 'A' game at home..." and packed an extra set of sticks for his A+ game as he walked out the door. Well done indeed!
HOLY SHIT!! I play sousaphone(HBCU) and I knw technique when I see it. This guys amazing. Wee need him for tha BOTB coming up so him and our Drumline Capt. Can go bazerk on sum1 elses line
WOW! i have a friend who can do all that and i thought it was just something any talented player could do. is it particularly good if someone can do that just as well (if not better) at the age of 13 good?

@acebpd Cause he does it with rather good technique, and he's clean. Also he's not just going bonkers he's going bonkers with every rudiment ever made.
@KILLjoy31313 i NEVER said he sucks....learn to read, tsk tsk....plus saying "your a douche" is a statement, yet that is part of a question....learn to construct a logical sentence! everything evolves, jesus is nothing compared to jiddu krishnamurti, but he is still an important man....peart is important, i still said he is good, he's just not a virtuoso! did you even look up any of the drummers i named....if you could only understand 1/12th of it you would know that they have more skill!
and one more thing i think i caught a the very very end of the solo. The very last note... is a power stroke about a half inch away from the head. so a power stroke with out the power part.. that tough to do, however the video is low res and difficult to tell.
While I will admit the shit he was doing was fucking hard, and gave him a like for that, he could have varied it up rudiment-wise. It was all double stroke rolls from what I saw, but damn he's good at backsticking. So yeah this guy's a beast, but I wish he would have done more complicated rhythms rather than technique.
@Darx94 also, a bunch of crush strokes and isn't the world of drumming made up of only singles and doubles?? rudiments are just combinations of those two things.. right?
@grgmys dude this is incredibly hard....everywhere from 1:02 and on is incredibly technical, also the stick tricks are very hard.....you know nothing of drums, if you like drums you just like faggot drummers like joey jordison!

@xxxslayerxxx666 You're a dumb @ss. You're claiming Peart's style is wrong? Do you not think Peart could perform Oein's style at a high level? Peart is paid... many, many millions of dollars to perform as he does. It's called Rock and Roll. He's a Rock and Roll drummer. I would bet my life he could perform rhythm techniques and tricks as well as anyone if he chose to do so.
@uteman1011 1.) i never said his style is wrong, i simply said that he is a flashy drummer....but i must admit his knewer stuff is slightly complex...."rhythm techniques" "tricks" what the hell are you talking about....i'm talking ADVANCED PLACEMENT....this requires it to be extremely well organized and thought out....i'm talking about music which gives the illusion of being off time, and that sort of music isn't what sells, people don't understand it....look up animals as leaders, or periphery!
@uteman1011 watch this to understand what i mean by music that gives the appearance of being off time... /watch?v=XBRmLHimJig or this /watch?v=Ep3ibZp42Rc peart MIGHT be able to play a song, but in no way can he keep up and consistently perform stuff at this level...he is all about feeling, this sort of music is about the senses...it's a much deeper and thought provoking style, it's meant to be studied...examples of this in classical are xenakis, varese, boulez, messiaen, and stockhausen!
