Updated Skincare Routine : Morning

Moisturiser is for hydration you dont need a separate serum. These newer serums are not far removed from silicone shampoos. and often have PVP in them, You're body can't tell the difference between a day of night cream. Nor can it tell the difference between an eye cream and a face cream. Wearing sunscreen and not using hormone based contraception with make your skin more even toned and prevent age spots. Most night creams wipe off on pillows. The less ingredients you use the better. NOT MORE.

Question for you: is each item able to do what they're supposed to be doing, or is it possible that so many things on top of them are "killing their power"? Why I ask, is because my dermatologist told me to stop using a certain cream on top of another one I used, because that 2nd cream "destroyed" what the 1st cream was meant to do. She said when you "mix" so many things together, that under the skin surface, there's basically an "explosion" and items can't do what they're made to do.

And you should use all these products for neck and decolte too, especially the neck needs anti aging treatment. I've just noticed you only treat the face and that's not enough.

serum is like a treatment where it either can be a lifting serum, pore minimizing serum, or evens skin tone kind of serum, and many more...

Lotion is what moisturizes the skin in order to keep your skin hydrated. It reduces dryness on your cheeks and skin.

serums contain higher concentrations of the skincare ingredient, so it's supposed to be more effective and deliver results faster. lotion is mainly for moisturizing.

I fly a lot! The airplane air is drier than the Sahara desert... and the A/C in offices can be really drying as well. If your skin is oily, it's craving for hydration.

when can you normally and safely say something has broken you out. i've had a bout of zits BUT just on the right side of my face (the laugh line). the only thing that i've been using since january is the seaweed line from the body shop and their mineral foundation. my derma said to stop that cuz it might be that. does it sometimes take that long?

My skin is combo, drier cheeks. Lots of outside factors can influence the skin too. Like being in a/c environments can dry your skin out if it's not hydrated well.

wow!.it's a lot of cream then you will apply your foundation and powder.Lucky you that you do't break out.I can only do this routine at night. If I have to apply all this cream it will clog my pores and I end up breaking out.

The hydrating serum is for more hydration, the lotion is like a moisturizer, the contour lift is an anti-aging serum which has completely different function. Recommend you get the contour lift as your serum and use the lotion over it.
