Don't look at him as a Republican but a Libertarian. He just had to pick a Republican party because our retarded politics run on a two party system. May I also add that I agree with Ron, there isn't much difference between the two parties either.
And now Obama is in the WH and making a bigger mess than we can afford all because of hope & Change was spoken in the ear's of people who dont understand Government
Ron Paul's the only real reason I voted Republican in the primaries. It's a horrendous shame what they did to him...so few true leaders left in the world today.
Ron Paul isn't saying to collapse the market, he is saying to let it decide what has value and what doesn't. A collapse would only be brought about by (mainly) the private banks, especially the federal reserve.
His views on the economy are sound. The only point I tend to disagree with is the return to a gold standard. Simply, there is no gold in the US. Silver would work much better if you absolutely needed to back it by something to limit the supply, which I don't feel is the case.
But since gold and silver or whatever else we try to back it with can drop in value isn't it pointless to have a backing for something we already just say has value in the first place? OR am I just missing something?
@diabolique111: I have been thinking the same thing, except to get him here in Canada.
Ron Paul is one of the few honest politicians that can be found these days and it's a shame he is not the nominee for reasons of making a poor puppet. He is entirely right; there is no choice at the moment between Obama and McCain in any meaningful way. He also speaks the truth (ie. Georgia, the economy) and doesn't just spew the usual propaganda. Needless to say I am a fan of his and hope he runs in 2012.
Let it fall apart. Money creates poverty, crime, greed and scarcity. Financials have no relevance in the world. Money does not create abundance because money deems it self-defeating. Our future lies in a resource based economy. Remember, capitalism, and fascism are the exact same.
Your neo-con, moron McCain will be too once elections are done. I'd be happy to help. Obama has called for an increase in the pentagon's budget. Obama is an imperialist. He's using his anti-iraq war speech in oct. 2002 to portray himself as anti-war, but he isn't calling for an end to the orwellian war on terror. He just wants to shift troops from iraq to afghan. He also wants permanents bases in iraq. THAT is the similarity- they are both essentially imperialist and hawkish on the military. votenader.orgasm
@ The Other View-Who are you talking about? Who is Chompsky? Who are you talking about? Do you want to know the difference between Obama and McCain? His support is still growing, just not for the presidential campaign. His support is growing as someone who will lead or be the main catalyst in a new American Revolution that is allready in its first steps. This time the Americans aren't trying to win independence from England, but from their own bandit government!
By definition, neo-cons are democrats who could not win in their party, so they moved to republican side of politics.
Please, look it up... it's the truth... that's why these arguments of McCain vs Obama is laughable... they are almost one in the same... pathetic...
I hope RP's announcement tomorrow is the independent party nomination with Barr and Baldwin and Nader backing down in full support of him. They are all supposed to be there...
Noone can take anything that's on Fox News serious, because Fox News is an evil propaganda machine. Their news isn't really news. It's entertainment for people that hate anything non-Neocon. It truly is a station for ignorant simpleminded gullible fools.
I suspect Ron is only going on FOX to appeal to the sheeple who still watch that propaganda station. Surely they'll find some way to twist or misrepresent his words.
I find it hilarious that Obama supporters talk negatively about NEO-CONS to try and get voter support, meanwhile Obama himself works FOR them at the CFR as an unofficial member. Yeah unofficial now, wait till he doesn't have to lie about it anymore.
If only half of the American people historically vote in US elections, what would happen if all the apathetic voters voted for a write-in candidate or a third party?
It is funny how people that do not support Ron Paul is because either they are NOT in their party or they listen to the media and vote for who is popular with them as oppose to someone who is so common sense.
How can you vote for people who in the past talk bad about another in a debate then when they are not picked support them. What hypocrites.
And you people want these types in the while house.
I went to both conventions. The Republican convention was canned, controll, an extreme oppression. Ron Paul's convention was open and passionate, full of openness.
Paul is great but Jesse is a fucking beast! So how are we gonna put him in office? Who's gonna start the website for Ventura in 2012? Let's get organized and make him run in 2012! We got a good 4 yrs to counter and get the word out because we can't rely on the major media outlets! I live in NY and I'd happily donate my time in whatever way I can to get this man into the White House! Feel free to hit me up with serious ideas or how I can help!
Good point thirty three million dollars and they had already picked the candidates. At the same time the road fund is going broke because they tap into it for other spending.
rome was an empire before it was called an empire. the senate ruled. then octavius ceaser made the emperor an office. strong executive branch? presidents use of the military with no congressional declaring of war? sounds familiar
If you notice the comments on the bottom Fox is making it look as though he's bitching aout not bein treated well by his party when he's discussing issues of how both parties are one in the same.
2. No, since I don't believe continuing an endless war is either fiscally conservative or conservative on any front. To me, Obama/McCain are the same candidates. If McCain doesn't directly raise taxes, he'll indirectly do so through inflation. You can't cut taxes without cutting spending.
1. A person's vote doesn't mean much in America these days, so I'd prefer voting on principle than choosing the lesser of two evils, which is still evil.
yes but keep in mind that you don't vote to "win" the election you as an individual vote for who you think could best lead our country... kind of the whole point of a democracy.
Ron Paul is the only canidate that makes sense and adresses real issues.
I havent heard of one foreign government that doesnt like him, unlike you hear about our present administration, and the two runners are just clones of the first, watch and see
The media is getting too friendly with Ron Paul and thats because they dont see him as a threat like they use 2. Hes not running and his points on the news arnet as impacting as they use 2 be. I wanna see Ron Paul just spew facts of how terrible the conomy is and what really happened with Gerogia/Russia and etc. Even FOX will have him on. Cmon Ron i like you but do what you do off air on air as well.
Maybe Paul won't be campaigning as much right after this rally. The best solution I can think of is to stay informed and to discuss your important issues with others. Maybe an informed public will be a threat to the privately financed mainstream media.
It really surprised me how disrespected he was by the republican party. He got sooo much attention, money, and over 50 percent of all the donations by our militairy was given to him. That was donations for both parties to. I would not have voted for him, but i think the peoples choice was never really given a chance.
He is a consistent and well-informed politician who obeys his oath of office to abide by the Constitution. This embarrasses other politicians since they know they themselves are hypocritical and have inconsistent voting records.
I don't agree with Ron Paul on a lot of issues, but I do wish he was the candidate that Rupublicans would adhere to. He truly represents conservatism, unlike any recent Republican candidate.
a lot of issues? wow! Maybe you could give me 2 Federal Gov't policy issues that you disagree with Ron Paul on(since there are "a lot" of them)? B/c I haven't found one yet.
Good quest: I would like to see more social programs that are in place overhauled, but remain in place, for example the dept of ed and medicare. He has great points regarding those programs, however, and does make a good argument to cut them. That's why I wish he was accepted by the Republicans, because he actually defends his positions!
In the 27 years that the Federal Dept. of Education has existed WHAT has it accomplished? B/c I can't think of one(beneficial) thing. Seems its only purpose is to give more control of our peoples education to a small group of politicians in Washington. Scary!
On Medicare - The Federal Gov't has no right to be involved w/ healthcare in any way. Gov't involvement is the main reason for the price increases for medical services.
All Ron Paul's positions(Constitutional) are easily defendable
ps The Republicans didn't accept Ron Paul b/c he is the ONLY politican running on the small Federal Gov't, sound money, protected individual rights, and adherance to the Constitution platform.
The Republicans and Democrats(Obama and McCain) are part of the same party running on the The Big Govt, Military and Medical Industrial Complex, Interventionalist foreign policy, Oil, and International Banker platform. Good Luck w/ that America
CONSERVATIVES!! COPY AND PASTE THIS EVERYWHERE PLEASE! Positions of the LEFT: WAR IS WRONG (Unless a Democrat is President) MOVE ON (Whenever WE are caught doing something bad) CORPORATIONS ARE EVIL (Unless it's payday) FREE SPEECH & TOLERANCE (Except for conservatives) NO VIOLENCE (Unless WE need it to protest) NO RACISM or SEXISM (Except if you hate white males) F$@K THE POLICE (Unless we need one) FIGHT AUTHORITY (Unless WE are in authority) The LEFT is KILLING AMERICA
Hmm. The only people killing America are those who refuse to abide by the Constitution—the document this country was founded upon—and those who buy government officials.
Perhaps some liberals embrace all of the ideas you mentioned, just as some conservatives reject all of the thoughts you proposed.
And yet, if we compare the two leading Left and Right candidates, we see that they are pretty similar on most important issues.
Why is there left and right? Why do people have to be one or the other cant you be both. Cant you be left on some issues and right on others. Why the divide. Im asking because were I come from and the surronding countries dont have this problem but why the USA.
Ron Paul had millons of supporters & raised millions of dollars.
Still McCain & his people treated us like dog crap & denied us delegates & cheated us throughout the process & would snicker whenever Ron Paul mentioned THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.
I now encouage the millions of my fellow Ron Paul supporters to vote for Barack as we absolutely must not have insane McCain in the White House!
DillonX--Neither side really likes Ron Paul that much because he exposes their hypocrisies without trying very hard to do so. Obama talks well, but offers no evidence that he will support his talk with action.
If you truly support Ron Paul, write him in. Voting by conscience is not wasting a vote.
Amazing that someone who believes in the US Constitution like Ron Paul is call a "crazy old uncle". Do Republicans not belive in the US anymore? Ron Paul is great - the rest of the Republicans should leave America as they clearly do not believe in the US Constitution.
I would assume he was there. RP's convention was very close to the republican one so it wouldn't have been much for him to just drive over opposed to fox moving their entire setup to his convention, which frankly if they were "fair and balanced" they should have had. But it was a good interview so can't really complain.
Why do they keep asking about this third party system...this interview being live face to face is much better than the other interview he held with paul not long ago
In 1916 Chaim "Charles" Weizmann invented a way to make acetone by a fermentation process, acetone was essential to make cordite in desperate shortage in the British army, he exchanged the patent GB191504845 against a signed promise from the British government to create Israel... The Balfour declaration of 1917
Have you read the article Political Cross-Dressing by Micheal Savage?
When was the last time Republicans defended teenage motherhood and allege sexism if you question it's morality? When was the last time Democrats were concerned over the morality of teenage motherhood? Absolute opposites right?
Google "Political Cross Dressing Savage" and it should be the first link.
Ron Paul had a HUGE campaign, an AMAzing campaign, and the major news networks didn't cover it. I'm not that fond of Fox, but, at least, they covered his convention.
i think they coveredit, just with an attitude of contempt. nobody was calling McLame, Huckleberry, or obamanation a kook, isolationist, fringe, crazy. those things stick in peoples minds. so they dont consider even looking at his policies. this election hasbeen bought and paid for ---follow the money, telcom (thanx for FISA), millitary Ind. Complex and wall street
I'd vote for Bob Barr, a newly-minted so-called Libertarian, before voting for Obama or McCain. Obama and McCain are both wearing diapers... Huggies for Obama and Depends for McCain.
I couldn't agree with you more. McCain and the Bush agenda are DANGEROUS. They're trying to get us to vote from fear, just like we did after the 911 attacks.
I disagree, with the way the electoral college is set up there is only 3 or 4 states that are going to make a difference. Most of our votes will not count anyway. Write in Ron Paul if your state allows write in votes and make our voices heard. Obama or Mccain gets it won't make a difference.
America had its chance to elect a living, breathing Founding Father who understands the terrible mess we're in and how to fix it. Americans deserve what they get... and you can be sure they will get what they deserve.
McCain and Obama are essentially cut from the same pandering cloth of corruption, big spending, social programs without funding and huge deficits.
With $9.6 TRILLION in budget deficits and another $60+ TRILLION in unfunded Social Security and Medicare liabilities, we're SCREWED.
Who the fuck do you think is going to pay for UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE?? O that is right it will be us the tax payers. My bad.
When the economy is down who is the majority in congress??? o that is right democrats. When the economy under Clinton was good who was running congress at the time??? O that is right republicans. Wow clear choice to make here. Republicans have your best wishes at heart. Cut and Dry here. McCain/Palin 08
Wrong. The first paragraph of the first chapter of the 2008 Republican Platform references the Bible in justifying the military-industrial complex. The general citizenry will always be a distant second place in the hearts of R's and D's.
Well I'm Canadian and we have universal health care here and its not like we are not taxed a huge amount.( Total tax=12%) And the answer to the decline of the economy in the states = War on Iraq........
The first chapter of the Republican Platform is wholly dedicated to Imperialism based on Christianity, even thought the chapter is titled "Defending Our Nation, Supporting Our Heroes, Securing the Peace".

Go for it. But leave me out of it.
Ron Paul all the way.

Feel free to hit me up with serious ideas or how I can help!

dude y are u guys voting for paul when he has no chance of winning? wouldnt u rather have mccain/palin instead of obama
just2respond 3 years ago
I'll answer your question in reverse order.
2. No, since I don't believe continuing an endless war is either fiscally conservative or conservative on any front. To me, Obama/McCain are the same candidates. If McCain doesn't directly raise taxes, he'll indirectly do so through inflation. You can't cut taxes without cutting spending.
1. A person's vote doesn't mean much in America these days, so I'd prefer voting on principle than choosing the lesser of two evils, which is still evil.
uhhuhcheckit 3 years ago 3
yes but keep in mind that you don't vote to "win" the election you as an individual vote for who you think could best lead our country... kind of the whole point of a democracy.

Cmon Ron i like you but do what you do off air on air as well.
doboy09 3 years ago 4
Maybe Paul won't be campaigning as much right after this rally. The best solution I can think of is to stay informed and to discuss your important issues with others. Maybe an informed public will be a threat to the privately financed mainstream media.

It really surprised me how disrespected he was by the republican party. He got sooo much attention, money, and over 50 percent of all the donations by our militairy was given to him. That was donations for both parties to. I would not have voted for him, but i think the peoples choice was never really given a chance.
grudgekeeper 3 years ago
He is a consistent and well-informed politician who obeys his oath of office to abide by the Constitution. This embarrasses other politicians since they know they themselves are hypocritical and have inconsistent voting records.

I don't agree with Ron Paul on a lot of issues, but I do wish he was the candidate that Rupublicans would adhere to. He truly represents conservatism, unlike any recent Republican candidate.

"I don't agree with Ron Paul on a lot of issues"
a lot of issues? wow! Maybe you could give me 2 Federal Gov't policy issues that you disagree with Ron Paul on(since there are "a lot" of them)? B/c I haven't found one yet.
frzngds 3 years ago
Good quest: I would like to see more social programs that are in place overhauled, but remain in place, for example the dept of ed and medicare. He has great points regarding those programs, however, and does make a good argument to cut them. That's why I wish he was accepted by the Republicans, because he actually defends his positions!
tarfpir 3 years ago
In the 27 years that the Federal Dept. of Education has existed WHAT has it accomplished? B/c I can't think of one(beneficial) thing. Seems its only purpose is to give more control of our peoples education to a small group of politicians in Washington. Scary!
On Medicare - The Federal Gov't has no right to be involved w/ healthcare in any way. Gov't involvement is the main reason for the price increases for medical services.
All Ron Paul's positions(Constitutional) are easily defendable
frzngds 3 years ago 2
ps The Republicans didn't accept Ron Paul b/c he is the ONLY politican running on the small Federal Gov't, sound money, protected individual rights, and adherance to the Constitution platform.
The Republicans and Democrats(Obama and McCain) are part of the same party running on the The Big Govt, Military and Medical Industrial Complex, Interventionalist foreign policy, Oil, and International Banker platform. Good Luck w/ that America

Hmm. The only people killing America are those who refuse to abide by the Constitution—the document this country was founded upon—and those who buy government officials.
Perhaps some liberals embrace all of the ideas you mentioned, just as some conservatives reject all of the thoughts you proposed.
And yet, if we compare the two leading Left and Right candidates, we see that they are pretty similar on most important issues.
uhhuhcheckit 3 years ago
Why is there left and right? Why do people have to be one or the other cant you be both. Cant you be left on some issues and right on others. Why the divide. Im asking because were I come from and the surronding countries dont have this problem but why the USA.

Still McCain & his people treated us like dog crap & denied us delegates & cheated us throughout the process & would snicker whenever Ron Paul mentioned THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.

Are you serious? If you truly support Ron Paul, vote for him still. There is a write-in for a reason.
Obama is for infanticide, he was raised in an Islamic school, he has a marxist hero on a flag in one of his campaign places.
If you want liberty, vote Ron Paul.
Draelren 3 years ago 2
DillonX--Neither side really likes Ron Paul that much because he exposes their hypocrisies without trying very hard to do so. Obama talks well, but offers no evidence that he will support his talk with action.
If you truly support Ron Paul, write him in. Voting by conscience is not wasting a vote.

Even if Obama Loses he will get 40% of Americans to vote for him.
What does it say about America and where we are today when an openly racist man like Obama who still belongs to that church can get 40% of the vote
IF OBAMA GETS MORE THEN 5% of the VOTE THEN IT SHOWS WE ARE IN A VERY BAD PLACE AS A SOCIETY.
THIS WOULD BE THE SAME IF OBAMA WAS WHITE LATINO OR ASIAN
AMERICA CAN NOT HAVE 40% or MORE OF ITS PEOPLE VOTE FOR AN OPENLY RACIST PERSON

I would assume he was there. RP's convention was very close to the republican one so it wouldn't have been much for him to just drive over opposed to fox moving their entire setup to his convention, which frankly if they were "fair and balanced" they should have had. But it was a good interview so can't really complain.

Have you read the article Political Cross-Dressing by Micheal Savage?
When was the last time Republicans defended teenage motherhood and allege sexism if you question it's morality? When was the last time Democrats were concerned over the morality of teenage motherhood? Absolute opposites right?

But I now encourage the millions of my fellow Ron Paul supporters to vote for Barack.
Barack is far from perfect, but we ABSOLUTELY MUST NOT have McCain in the WH.

I couldn't agree with you more. McCain and the Bush agenda are DANGEROUS. They're trying to get us to vote from fear, just like we did after the 911 attacks.
t4ac3y1 3 years ago
