Fall Concert '09 Jazz Band - Latin American Sunshine

Rounding the three and a half minute mark, it became a bit of a pain to listen to; caught my attention at the beginning with the tonality of the alto, but failed to keep it going. The rhythm section sounds like they started to play "backgrounds". (My band director has deemed the word "backgrounds" as a bad word, as it makes the rhythm section think they can slack off during a solo.
