A squier is good in terms of the sound quality as compared to the grg270. but u get more options with the grg270 as u have HSH configuration of pickups. also u get a floyd rose double locking tremolo... so if u are looking for variety in playing styles go for an ibanez... else if its pure tone then go for a squier
yea its good.but for better pickup outputs id suggest u save up a bit more and buy the rg series guitars. the rg350dx is awesome. the tremolo is also better
its not hard to tune drop d. but once u r tuned its difficult to tune it back up to e... u have to see the bridge angle n spring tensions.. i use extra light .09 strings n mine's been tuned to e... i had an initial tilt in the bridge angle but i fixed its spring tension. now its grt..[:)]
