  • hahaha what sweet mischief makers!!

  • They are very cute sweet little guys but should not be house pets.

The pen in the video is way too small and damp. They need a cage similar to a ferret cage with a tree to climb and a small house to sleep and den in. Raccoons carry a variety of diseases and can be quite aggressive. They really should be followed by a wild animal rehabilitator. Wild raccoons can be kept wild if raised properly. Then when they are less vunerable they can be released in the wild.

  • They are NOT housepets. I am a lisenced rehabilitator and that is a temporary day cage for feeding time.

  • can they be domesticated? I am seriously curious in a theoretical sense.

  • For the most part, they really can't:-) When they hit around 8 weeks, they start acting very wild and by 12 weeks they are almost mean! Sometimes they will be loyal to the person who raised them but their wild instincts almost always make it impossible for them to be house pets.

  • RUFFIANS :) and.... very very cute!
