Moral Decline in the World. Who can save us?

God never said that there are exceptions to murder. The unborn fetus is a life no matter if the woman got raped or incest. God condemns all murder. We can not try to justify it. Lets not play God.

Anyone who knows anything about history Knows that morals have not declined. The World has never been more humane. Take a history lesson. No more slavery. No more capital punishment in western society, except america. Treating woman as equals, freedom, ect...

@qxy333 Open your eyes. There is still slavery in many parts of the world. Read your bible. Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, Jesus told us what will happen at the time before His return. These things are happening now. It is going to get much worse. It is time to give your life to Christ. Take a bible lesson:  Jesus died to save you and He is coming back again soon. Are you ready to stand before Him?

@qxy333 morals indeed declined, with the start of liberalism in early 20 century. women has to be polite, caring, obedient, they must have education, but now all we see is extreme explicity, fornication, adultery, nudity.

I must inquire why you think morality has declined overall. The past (under religious rule) has seen human slavery, genocide, sanctioned rape, torture, and cruelty of all sorts. I would say that our sensibilities have been tamed to the benefit of all. I think you are making a comparison to a 1950's utopia that never was. It is a lie. Humanity has shed much of it's ignorant and cruel behaviors. We don't whip criminals in the streets, slaughter heretics, or burn people alive anymore.

Jesus did abolish things like the Sabbath, but not things like Lev.19:27, so why are so many shaving in spite of knowing that Lev.19:27 forbids shaving? Do they not see on their faces the shadow of their beard, the shadow which they can not shave away, since the beard was made by God to be there on man´s face and look nice? Do they not realize that shaving is an insult to God and a grave sin, since shaving says that God on Adam´s face did create something unnecessary, ugly and unhealthy?

Sexual immorality is rampant, bringing with it STD's, Abortions (41 million every year). Alcoholism, Drug abuse (which the Bible calls 'sorceries') are on the rise with it violence, muder, theft, child abuse.

I weep for all the unborn children ripped apart during abortions. Most of these children feel pain, especially those aborted after the 18th week. Their blood is washed off and runs down the sewers into the rivers.

There is no morality left in the world.

Lawlessness and "godlessness" has always existed, and more than likely always will. It's no sign of the end of times that someone is murdered.

I actually think that morality has increased in the last century, what with the abolishment of slavery.

By the way, it doesn't matter if it is written in the Bible that homosexuality is an abomination. The United States isn't a theocracy, nor should it be.

I do lead a group of kids at church but other than that I just try to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. I also coach basketball in the 'Upwards' program which is bible based. God bless you and tell others about your Savior.

Tell me all the things God calls an abomination and I will tell you how I feel about it. You can hate the sin and still love the sinner. Far be it for me to judge anyone, someone already has that job.

I'll start with one, i.e., the consumption of shellfish (Leviticus 11:9-12) -- "that shall be an abomination unto you." So using your standard, "if it's an abomination to [God], it should be one to me," you must view consumption of shellfish as an abomination, correct?

First of all the word in that passage is detestable. That is different from an abomination. Second, in Mark 7:18-19 Jesus said, 'Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? For it doens't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body.' In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean. Romans 6:14 says For sin shall not be your master because you are not under law, but under grace.

That's one translation. "Abomination" and "unclear" are others. The word used in Lev 18:22 can also be translated, e.g., "disgusting." Despite the word game, you've given the predicatable answer, i.e., God changed the rule about shellfish -- used to be an abomination, but isn't any more. If only Yahweh had gotten around to condemning slavery. Oh, well, being sovereign of the universe must not leave one time to address everything.
