I knew that Dev was a traitor have you seen the movie just a movie I know but look how pissed off he was getting because Collins was in the papers Dev was jealous power hungry monster thats why with Collins gone he could have it all which isn't right I wonder how he felt living all those years with blood on his hands?
a lot of anti treaty men would beg to differ ,but i belive if he had of lived the civil war would not of been so bitter, but we will never know,he was a great man no dought about it,
No he wasn't to bring the treaty back The brits asked for the man to have the power to sign. Devo knew what was to happen . Why did he send a soldier to do the work of a politician?
He might have been asked by the irish to bring back the treaty for the dail but dev knew that the Brits had asked for someone with the power to sign. Dev knew this!!
well maybe if he did bring it back to the dail to deside there, there might not of being a civil war for 11 months ,they were winned and dined over in london, the people here were war weary,
Collins knew the miltary situation better than anyone,It is arogance to think that the Military commander wasn't war weary. While Collins was organising a land armly out of nothing against the most powerful army in the World Dev was in New york being the darling of the Hoi polloi. Dev was the Politician he should have been there but he Knew that the Brits had decided how far they were willing to go. Collins got a deal from the Brits no other man has ever managed that
this debate is going on since 1922,me and you are not going to change anything what we say,my grandfather fought in the tan war and he fought on the republican side in the civil war so i would have been with rory o conner in the 4 courts or oscar tranor in o connell street, the republic was proclaimed in 1916 and again 21 jan 1919 in the first dail, the day breen started the war of independence, they swore an oth to uphold the republic against foregin and domestic
@Sarah1987CheVolution And Michael Collins took the flak for it all, and gave his life. I was able to place a flower on Michael Collins grave at Glasnevin last august 09. It was awesome for me, and I took great photos !
great man he was , pity he was set up and fucked by that bastard devalera , the treaty was not acceptable at all , but should not not have been accepted from collins in the first place , it should have come from devalera , but ?
