Actually, Denim's opening story is the greatest ever.
He just starts his military career and he meets his greatest enemy's -good- twin, frees Duke Wrongway, gets Canopus as comic relief and Flying Bad ass, teams up with an Exorcist to fight against undead horrors, and begins a rivalry with the Necromancer who created them.
Its sad that its all downhill from here....until everything turns around and he fights for the fate of the entire Island.
