  • Sounded alright, but geez, learn to count!

  • Dude, awesome your video. I play sax alto too. Could you post the link from where I can get the partiture of the song, please?

    \o

  • man i love it if ud give me the notes

  • @saxmastergq what key r u in and what note do u start with? I think that will help me figure out what notes to play

  • @rockpath2

    I believe I started with an A.

  • @saxmastergq Cool. Thanks

  • Amazing vid :) I also play the alto sax, but I haven't played in a year, so I'm a bit rusty. -.-'

Anyway, I hope i can play this someday, cuz u sounded great.

  • @rockpath2

    hey thanks!

  • Thank you so much! I'm 12 years old and just like you, I tried to play this by ear. It sounded almost perfect but there was few mistakes. But when I saw you play I got the notes right! Now all I need to do is memorize this and I'll be able to play this song in my school recital! Thanks again!

  • @DropDeadProjekt

I'm gad my video was some use to you!

  • My god, nicely played

  • @georgprime21

    thanks.

  • Thank you. = )

  • notes please.

    ima euphonium player.

    much easier than this.

  • @KappaMummy

    sure thing.

  • This is altogether very good, especially the extra notes such as the glissandos and grace notes that give it that jazz feel, which works very well with the conical bore of your own saxophone; it's very jazzy. However, be sure to hold notes full value, or you end up with gaps that shouldn't be present, especially in a vocal transposition. Vocals are often held out if anything, not cut short, so be especially attentive of this.

  • @coolthing21

    Thanks for the advice!

  • Can I have the notes too?

  • @09vl1603

    You got it!

  • @saxmastergq I'm not good at transposing :X

  • Wow you are AWESOME!!! Me and my friend wanted to play this song for a showcase and we dont have long, if you didnt have sheet music you think you can probably write it out and send it to me (I can give you my email) or show me a site where they have this. I CAN NEVER FIND ANY!!! DX< If anybody can help that would be grately appreciated!!!!

  • @Kurenia1

    Hey thanks!

    I'll send you a link.

  • nice... this is very good overall =)

u kinda tongued a bit too hard on some parts, although that could could be the distorted audio

and um could u send me the sheet music plz

  • @fireboar1969

Sorry, I didn't use any sheet music. I played this by ear. Thank you for your comment.

  • It's alright. Your timing is off some places, especially in the first verse. Maybe you should tturn the music up a little! That way the audience can hear it, too. :D

  • @JohnnyElsewhereTV

    Yes, I agree.

  • Awesome...I don't know what to call them I love the little accent/swell things you put on the notes! eg. 1:25

  • @keetner

    Thanks!

  • Great ! :D I can't stop watching you playing !! You're so talented ^.^

  • @Fatestars

    haha, thank you!

    Thank you!

  • ha i could do better! ha jk, NICE, send me the notes plz?

  • @tuyghbn

sorry, I don't use any music in my videos; I play by ear.

  • Really good but u sound a like a tenor kind of

  • @hinatalover12332

    haha, very interesting.

    thank you for your comment.

  • Very impressive :D

  • @P4D3LL05

    Thanks!

  • thats quite good but use a weaker or whatever you would call it reed. use strength 2 and it will sound much better

  • @BBQwatchman

I only play with strength 3 reeds. Anything weaker sounds too airy and thin. How long have you been playing sax BBQwatchman?

  • @saxmastergq

3 or 4 years. i'm not sure :P. but i only said that because your reed sounds as if it should be used in sad music, or jazz. i would think that a weaker reed would give this song more.... i dont know what to call it, but yeah.

  • Ah, it seems that your lung capacity isn't quite there yet. But nonetheless, good job. I assume it was hard re-composing this over and over again by ear.

  • @krabykevin

    Hey thanks!

Transposing the was a little hard, but I enjoyed doing it.

  • Come to think of it, I'd love to hear a smooth jazz version of Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis. xD You pretty much set the basis in my head, since whether it was intentional or not I DEFINITELY heard some syncopating that screamed jazz, and now I can't stop thinking about how amazingly epic that would be. Anyway, awesome job on this piece. :D

  • @R0ckChyld

    haha, thanks

  • Amazing, I was wondering, if you still have the sheet would you mind sending me it? Thanks.

  • @razor10212

sorry, I didn't use any sheet music. I played by ear.

  • Some parts were a bit off, but still a very nice job.

  • @hoholollol12345

I agree. On some parts I rushed a little. Thanks for the comment.

  • NICE man. This song sounds familiar, from a show I used to watch back in the old days... lol idc anymore, this video was good. Nice playin

  • @ChetraRyoichi

    Thanks!

  • awesome

    muito loko

    mucho loko

  • nice! i enjoyed it very much. may i ask what key it is in? i'd like to figure out how to play this on tenor (i'm a tenor player). i know i have to transpose the key after :P

  • @xxMUSICFRKxx

    Thanks for your comment.

I'll send you the piano score.

  • Do Altos play(as in blowing wise) similar to Clarinets?

  • Sure, saxes and clarinets are very similar. Almost the same type of embouchure is required. I'm sure the feel of each instrument is very different, though I think it'd be easy for a saxophonist to learn clarinet & vice versa. Actually, I'd really like to learn clarinet. . . . I really want to buy one..haha

    Thank you for your comment.

  • you gotta watch your tone on some of the parts
