Thank you so much! I'm 12 years old and just like you, I tried to play this by ear. It sounded almost perfect but there was few mistakes. But when I saw you play I got the notes right! Now all I need to do is memorize this and I'll be able to play this song in my school recital! Thanks again!
This is altogether very good, especially the extra notes such as the glissandos and grace notes that give it that jazz feel, which works very well with the conical bore of your own saxophone; it's very jazzy. However, be sure to hold notes full value, or you end up with gaps that shouldn't be present, especially in a vocal transposition. Vocals are often held out if anything, not cut short, so be especially attentive of this.
Wow you are AWESOME!!! Me and my friend wanted to play this song for a showcase and we dont have long, if you didnt have sheet music you think you can probably write it out and send it to me (I can give you my email) or show me a site where they have this. I CAN NEVER FIND ANY!!! DX< If anybody can help that would be grately appreciated!!!!
It's alright. Your timing is off some places, especially in the first verse. Maybe you should tturn the music up a little! That way the audience can hear it, too. :D
3 or 4 years. i'm not sure :P. but i only said that because your reed sounds as if it should be used in sad music, or jazz. i would think that a weaker reed would give this song more.... i dont know what to call it, but yeah.
Ah, it seems that your lung capacity isn't quite there yet. But nonetheless, good job. I assume it was hard re-composing this over and over again by ear.
Come to think of it, I'd love to hear a smooth jazz version of Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis. xD You pretty much set the basis in my head, since whether it was intentional or not I DEFINITELY heard some syncopating that screamed jazz, and now I can't stop thinking about how amazingly epic that would be. Anyway, awesome job on this piece. :D
nice! i enjoyed it very much. may i ask what key it is in? i'd like to figure out how to play this on tenor (i'm a tenor player). i know i have to transpose the key after :P
Sure, saxes and clarinets are very similar. Almost the same type of embouchure is required. I'm sure the feel of each instrument is very different, though I think it'd be easy for a saxophonist to learn clarinet & vice versa. Actually, I'd really like to learn clarinet. . . . I really want to buy one..haha
Sounded alright, but geez, learn to count!

thats quite good but use a weaker or whatever you would call it reed. use strength 2 and it will sound much better
BBQwatchman 1 year ago

I only play with strength 3 reeds. Anything weaker sounds too airy and thin. How long have you been playing sax BBQwatchman?

Do Altos play(as in blowing wise) similar to Clarinets?
