  • Beautiful!!

  • Not to susre how I would fear against the horse flies, but the picturesque beauty, challenging hike and cool refreshing swim, is totally me. mr

  • i would slap them for you. ive become quite the master at it.

  • Truly beautiful! Hiking by yourself has its dangers but is oh so relaxing.

  • biggest danger...going postal on horseflies!

but you are right sometimes you just have to trust that your god is going to take care of you.

  • WARD - YOU SLAPPER!!!

    (of horse flies)

    ;)

  • i think i slapped (and killed) enough to feed a monster sized spider.

  • next challenge is to take chopsticks and catch them in teh style of mr miyagi of karate kid fame!

  • i enjoyede this day so much that i went up last night again and camped i got some footage of the sunset and sunrise, so i'll be posting that video soon too.

  • ah a little daycation! i am so envious! maybe i'll move to BC!!!

good to see your smiling face!

    xox

    skinny

  • Hey sweet petunia!

i always get a big smile on my face when you stop by!

Visit! make a video about the fact that Vancouver is going so far left it is unrecognizable. Pot smoking...legal, Gay marriage...legal, Shirtless women...legal.

Who knows what is next but i love it. we used to be called "no fun city" but now that we can smoke pot and run around half naked and stuff, i'd say vancouver is getting a little crazy!

  • sounds like heaven on earth!!!

    xoxox

    sc

  • ya, i gotta say that vancouver is really turning into this very cool city. it is becoming more and more european feeling. i love it. we have this amazing mayor right now who used to be a high ranked skier but he was injured and is now paralyzed. he is very cool and is bringing a whole new life to our once very conservative city.

  • where was the skinnydipping footage?

  • i was naked, but i wanted to keep this video G rated. how are you feeling?

i went up here last night and camped. AMAZING!

  • That was amazing thanks for sharing.

  • you need to go there! it was 1000000000000000000000 times more incredible than the video.

  • Ok I' m on my way.. You convinced me ~ Rock on

  • you don't even need to pack a swim suit, just bug spray if you are going after 6pm.

  • you'll have to come back!

  • Amazing view. I actually went hiking yesterday with some friends. It was refreshing, except for the many mosquito bites I got :( Then today, I went creek stomping. Ever done that before, Ward? It's quite an adventure.

  • i haven't gone creek stomping since i was 8. but i can imagine there are a bunch of mosquitos.

  • that water looks amazing.. i really wanna jump into my screen and swim, haha

  • jump in!

  • Ok *jumps at screen*

    OUCH

    *is motionless on floor*

  • Hi Ward, what a brilliant place this is, beautiful nature and so quiet! Great vid, thanks, Jeroen.

  • it was. i am heading back there now to spend the night. i am going to watch the sunset and the sunrise!

  • How were the sunset and the sunrise? I "envy" you over there, because of the enormous space you have and the unspoiled nature. Here in Holland nature is man-made and this country is extremely crowded (great place to live though). I'll show some more Holland soon. cheers, Jeroen.

  • It don't get much better than that.

    Natural beauty rocks.

  • yes indeed!

  • we are really lucky!

the swim was fantastic and actually really warm, no chills and i stayed in a long time. no "no-see-ums" just the dinosaur sized horse flys.

  • thanks Mom2AJ

i felt sad when i had to leave but the good news is is that this unknown place is actually just a 20 minute drive away from downtown vancouver and then the hike, so i am going back...possibly tomorrow. i am thinking of taking a tent and spending the night. i think it would be amaizing to watch the sunset over the ocean...because you can see it from up there too, and then watch the sun rise over the mountains in the early morning.

    IM GONNA DO IT!

  • just 20 minute drive from downtown vancouver and then the hike. i did it fast, in about 40 minutes.

the lake was actually really nice and warm too.

  • Ward, that was an awesome Video!... How lucky are WE!

And That view was breathtaking! The swim must of been the icing on the cake..... any no-see-um's ?

I need to do that! How long of a hike was it?

  • what a perfect place to be on such a hot day!

the lake looked very refreshing :o)

  • it was fantastic!

  • Stunning, I hope you enjoyed your day out

  • it was such a great day. thanks

  • I really like this video. We have the views in Scotland just not the weather. I think a trip to the Highlands is in order. Im definitely going to live in Canada at some point in my life though.

  • hey you! MOVE to canada!

i lucked out once in scotland just outside of aberdeen on a very sunny day i found a little river in this really secluded valley. it was fantastic.

  • I would love to move to Canada. Its just a matter of time. I cant believe you found somewhere nice in Aberdeen!? I didnt think a nice place existed up there :) You've just gotta bypass Dundee and Aberdeen and skip straight to the Highlands!

  • Absolutely incredible! I love it.

  • thanks debstef, it was a perfect day.

  • Lovely spot, seemed well worth the Hike.

    5*

  • yes geoff, it was amazing to be there all alone and feeling so happy.
