This show, its fandom and its fan labor has taught me an extremely valuable life lesson. That lesson is that it is OK to cry, to be in touch with your emotions and to let them out when it hurts, or when your more happy than you've ever been. I've had some incredible memories thanks to this show and I've made the best friends I've ever had in my life through it. When I look back on season one being over and done with, I feel no sadness, only pride and joy in who I am, and who I always will be.

Just listening to this, I don't cry. But when I watch it, and think about it, I cry. The sheer beauty of this music, and the fact of the pure brilliance that Lauren has created for us to enjoy. And it is spectacular to think that out of the blue, such a show could become so popular.

I totally get how old people feel right now. They can't go back.. Their time as a child is over.. They hold onto their childhood, even as adults. We should appreciate as much as we have, before it's too late ourselves. But knowing S1 done and over, fills my eyes with tears and empathy towards those who have lost something very dear to them. Equally incredible is the wonderful fandom and community that has arisen as a result of this show. Its output rivals that of some of the most rabid fanbases out there. I think ours, though, beats out many others (and may outlast them), because it's built upon the very values that the show itself espouses.

I can still remember the day when my world was just beginning to open up to Friendship is Magic... Man, how much I has changed. Just looking back I can see all the glorious pieces of artwork created from such a simple concept. The smiles plastered almost permanently on my face the first time I heard Rock My Pony.
