It sort of reminds me of marbal play. How many rules are there to follow in order to win the game? I'd just started playing.

Actually throwing the ball like that is "a move." Usually used to smash the other player(s) ball(s) away from the small ball. In Italian pronounced 'toot-sa". Equivalent to a "stuff" in basketball.
