Just from a physics point of view, the two people pulling the cord back would have to be exerting enough energy to throw that guy all that way, do you really think two people would have the strength to _throw_ someone that distance? I think the chair was really fired in to the pool, but there's no way on Earth that there was anyone sat in it at the time.
