I raced bikes in the USA from 1973 to 1981. I quit because it seemed like every year, someone I knew was getting killed by someone in a car running over them. I had several close calls and just decided to try another sport. I started riding again and just about two weeks ago, a mom in a Honda minivan came closer to hitting me than anyone in the previous 30 years. All those years of dodging rednecks in tow trucks and lawyers in their BMWs and I almost get killed by a car pool mom.

This is an incredible tragedy that has been repeated too many times this year and last. Drugs and driving don't mix! Heart felt condolences to the families of these riders. The pictures are sobering, to say the least.
