This is a great tutorial, 2 questions, can this translate to ver 1.5(3 is too big for my set up) and if so does this also work for "vocals" as well as "speech"

@ChefRski I think you misunderstood him. He thought this was a video that showed how to clean vocals for a singer, not someone who is just talking. Although common sense would tell you to do the same thing, so the OP is still an idiot, but just thought i'd clarify, lol.

This tutorial is so helpful. Please can I ask? How do you get rid of that 'roomy' sound? I don't have a voice booth or anything and I can hear open space in my vocal once recorded. How do I sort this problem out? I have a rhode mic, maudio firewire solo and use adobe audition 3

@daymyen I capture my tutorials with a different program. I couldn't figure out a way to show a tutorial on Audition while using Audition...so the screen capture program seemed like the better option.

Great tutorial again Ray!! I have 1 little issue in Audition. I have installed the ASIO4ALL and i still get a little delay while i'm recording. Is there a way to tighten that up a bit?

@gdawgz I'd start with adjusting the Buffer size to help with your small delay other than that you can check with ASIO's tech support here mtippach(dot)proboards40(dotco­m)/ - Support forum

for the levels you don't want it to hit the red? is that right? because I do rapping and when I rap into the mic I can hear myself rapping in my headphones, but when I turn down the gain on my mic, I can't hear myself, so that's the main reason why I have it up high, but if I'll get a better sound when it doesn't hit the red I will turn it down

so do I need to?
