Funniest thing I've ever seen on TV was from a BBC programme called 'The Entertainers' (think it was). They followed various b-list celebrities around, and one of them was Bernie Clifton, and there's this one bit where Bernie's playing with his dog, honestly, funniest thing I've ever seen.
we had him under massive hot studio lights running around for 9 hours for this shoot. he was 67 years old at the time (about 10 years ago!) what a gent.
I LOVE Bernie Clifton. I worked with him when I was a Butlins Redcoat. He's the nicest most sincere showman alive. Profesional like no-one I ever had the pleasure to work with. Always had time for the Red's at Blackpool in the 80's. Thanks Bernie. We love you so.
@Mharii33Of course hes a nice guy,He's from st helens merseyside,Charles street to be precise, My mother knows bernie (Quinn) clifton,The last time she saw him he said he was going to london to give it one last shot at becoming a star after doing the pubs and clubs,1976 i think it was,And as they say, The rest is history.
