one last thing (I hadn't watched the whole video when I made my comment), about the tank/healer that should be allowed to rand first for tank/healer gear... well, playing a tank and a healer myself, I know it takes more responsibility than DPSing. yet, getting even low level tanking/healing gear does seem to be hard when you're a newly level 85 character, so DPSing and /rand on a tank gear may seem easier.

what you said about the thumbs up and thumbs down, the player score addon allows you to do that and it will try and place you with people you have given a thumbs up to
The LFG tool didn't make people assholes, it just increased the likelihood that most of us would encounter these outrageous assholes that have been playing the same game as us for the past 7 years. They've always been there.
I do agree though to some extent. The lfg que system has brought up a ton of jerks/pricks/assholes and otherwise stupid retards. But you do also on occassion come across some really great people who know it's a game and know it's no good to bitch over pixelated shit.
I really don't think the individuel-ranking system is a capable idea. There can could end up being many occasions for people to get 'thumbs down' without deserving it. And those people would most likely be treated with predjudice. The system would be abused, as a way to get back on each other. Just as you mentioned with the vote-kick system. Innocent people would often the ones to pay too, since teh "good" person confronting the vandal would be as fast to recieve a thumbs down right back at him.

I went back and watched this because it's actually one of my favorite rants. But while I was watching, something about LFG popped into my head:
"Huntard". I'm so sick of that word. If anyone makes mistakes, they're just mistakes. But if a hunter makes ONE mistake, they're a huntard. I wish there was a zero creativity word to apply to tanks sometimes like that.
WoW was ruined because they never changed enough... its just the same thing over and over and over again i am surprised i played the game for as long as i have.. don;t get me wrong wow was a great game but it got repetitive over the years.. kill these mobs lvl up get gear raid rinse and repeat.. pvp was even repetitive..at times it was even completely unbalanced.
@ghew88 I agree with you, they can't get better gear without running the instances, but, they shouldn't try running heroics just because their iLevel is 329. I waited until I was "Cataclysmically Superior" before I attempted to run any heroics. Having to wait in a queue for upwards of 25-35 minutes per instance then to get a tank with under 100k health in a heroic that GOD couldn't heal isn't worth it. I agree that people have to start somewhere, but they are biting off more than they can chew.

Why no reputation? You, actually, answered this question earlier in your video. It wil be abused, just as votekick. And ppl will be getting a lot of thumbs down for no reason. The only real thing to do is to dead tie loot to a spec/role. Like prohibit DPS to roll on sta/parry trinks... Or enha shammie on int/spirit mail.
Player Reputation would be counterproductive, nearly as bad as ninjas in LFG. However I agree with you on most, but mainly Specc Prio. That would be awesome.
If you "warn" people that they are fail, does that make their gear better? how about their skill? wait, wait... let's wait until the healer/tank re-attributes their main buttons so that they can do better... no... not gonna happen, they fail... they need to pwn some more regulars until they are ready for heroics... or 5 man raids (welcome 4.1)... either way, if they aren't doing the job that they signed up for, they need to leave...
@Swifertheimmortal I agree that people have to start somewhere... however, when a "tank" with only 97k health and no gear pulls a 5 mob group without even trying to wait for CC's then they are asking to be kicked... I have no problem with people that start out the dungeon by saying "kinda new at this, please take it easy" or something to that effect. I genuinely try to help them out in anyway I can... skill is not the issue... bullheaded noobs are.

I roll with 1 rule, if I need the item, and it is tank item, and I'm dps'ing, I always asked the tank if he needs it. If not, I need it for my tank off-spec. That's just me. I actually care about offending other players, and being fair. Most people do NOT CARE. They were raised by wolves, and take what they want, everyone else be damned!!

Another problem with dungeon finder is people see it as so easy to get a group(which is untrue) they will abandon one at the first sign of difficulty. When you had to wait forever for a group and walk to the dungeon, people made a bit of effort to stick around.
And speaking of main spec... people need to recognize Main spec = CURRENT spec, not first spec.
oh and btw, since WOTLK u have to join dungeons at max lvl as a DPS to get GEAR for TANKING the DUNGEONS you currently DPS inside, sorry but that's how it is. wow sux since tbc came.

I have a solution. Stop playing Wow like I have. If Wow wasn't so political driven it would be a much better game but, it's not and that' is the game's major downfall.

Class/spec defined and designated drops for every player in the group.
If your encountering people who disturb your game-play or who are raging so hard you cant get your point across. Please do us all a favour and screenshot the comments and inform Blizzard. They are really good at investingating these reports, and will generally ban the player for a specific amount of time.
However the sad point is, if players did this, they would be doing it daily or hourly depending on how much they play. :(
I agree on the 'thumbs up/down' system you spoke about,I even thought about it myself.At the end of the instance,people either give a +1 or -1,you'd get a faster queue next time OR people can choose the available tanks/healers/dps and depending on how many pluses or minuses they have,they'd choose..

... and what about fresh tanks? they usually have to play the first few heroics in dps spec anyway to get the tank gear and capably tank, because if they do try to tank in crappy greens and blues he will probably get cussed out and kicked anyway.
and what change do i think ruined wow? heroics were too lol during wrath and now that they require some brain usage, all of the wrath babies cry about them being to hard when theyre not.

But another big problem is that you cant kick ppl at all when the last boss is killed. so if you want to do more instances with someone from the grp, you realy cant if someone is a dick and just wont leave or just loggs off...
The problem with people raging about accidental rolls is so bad that I felt I had to explain to my brother what things he could need before he did his first dungeon. I mean exactly what stats could be on an item that makes it right for him. Maybe blizz should just include something in the tooltips for items that shows what spec(s) it's for.
alright so i have been ninja'd twice once when a healer rolled a need on a tank/DPS sword and the went on to say "wehoo i got a sword for my dps spec" and the next when i was doing BWD the raid leader(ofc a mage) masterlooted a plate chest piece and then said "ohh its for my alt" do u think either of these are fair
Every lfg dungeon i enter its always the tanks and dps that do something stupid. Normally I keep to myself bec I just want to finish an instance but as a healer, when people don't know the fights, can't cc, and can't interrupt and think that's ok then yeah I'm going to blow up on someone. If they want to waste my time I'm going to kick them in the hopes of finding a competent player.
In general, if people are doing something stupid or they are terrible at playing their class I will kick them.

LOL LFG system is awesome just depends on the ppl. I Know what im doing, if im booted better for me less wipes on me. I tank Since BC and less headace is awesome. i just get my badges and GTFO. And when i fuck up, i admit it and apologize. But, and not to make myself seem better than i am, i dont really fuck up often in Heroics, especially in the wrath heroics but still people are dicks. one thing about the thumbs up/down idea, youd probably get the assholes thumb downing good players just cuz they can
I agreed on the greed and need system .. for cata items that cost 15kg on my sever are always need and even if its an upgrade it still pretty unfair .. and for the thumbs up and down those "assholes" are going to thumbs down everyone.. and i thought the lich king was a raid not a cross sever raid
Another flaw is the Item Level minimum for Heroics. I think with the 339 ilevel on Cataclysm heroics is ridiculous. Many people equip PvP gear just to reach the minimum item level, and enter into Heroics when they aren't properly equipped. Another problem is the sheer amount of Wrathbaby noobs.. While the solution for this is to do Heroics with my guild, guildies aren't always available to do dungeons with me.
As for the raging caps ignorant idiots portion of this vid... For all you Know it cold be Ghostcraller on that lv 15 toon you are raging at(and you get Insta-banned!! LOL)... as for the Ninja looting... That is the only thing I Vote to Kick on...(reason: Ninja)

oh dear. I can't agree with you any less here. As a priest, I have had sooooooooo much gear ninja'd from me by mages and warlocks. And people seem to still think it's WOTLK, so getting kicked for having the group wipe just because I couldn't heal through the 2 groups pulled with no CC's is getting very annoying.
the issue with the rating system is that you would get the asshole people who freak out about the smallest things would rate you down when you dont deserve it, giving you an undeserving rating
i think the random LFG system was the best idea bliz ever had. sure there are tones of douchebag faggots out there, and ninja's but tbh i encountered just as many ninja's in my realm before the random LFG system came out as i did with the new LFG system, once you learn how to ignore your group members it's not a bad experience. and if you're a healer or tank you pretty much get into a group within 5 minutes, most of the time instant for me and sure as hell beats zone shouting :)
They only thing about healers rolling before dps is that shaman healing stuff can work with elemental shamans and priest healing stuff can work for mages locks and even shadow but tanks should b able to roll before dps on tank stuff.

I have a lvl 85 tank and i get ninjaed by random dps players at the last boss hundreds of times, drops that i been farming for long time... and the thumbs up thing is a brilliant idea IMO. should be able to reduce bad players..
I agree completely. I am currently on a 10 day trail for WoW, ive never played before in my life. And during my first dungeon or instance or whatever its called, i was constantly bashed because i clicked NEED for some shield i NEEDED, so i clicked need. and all of a sudden im bashed over and over until they kicked me. then continued to whisper me and bash me some more. i still dont know much on how to play and idk if i will ever play again. So WoW isnt new user friendly.
im a holy pally and i got booted cuz an undergeared tank pulled about 20 mobs and died before u could pull off a big heal and then blamed me for not being able to heal him >.<

@Swifertheimmortal I agree that people have to start somewhere... however, when a "tank" with only 97k health and no gear pulls a 5 mob group without even trying to wait for CC's then they are asking to be kicked... I have no problem with people that start out the dungeon by saying "kinda new at this, please take it easy" or something to that effect. I genuinely try to help them out in anyway I can... skill is not the issue... bullheaded noobs are.

I roll with 1 rule, if I need the item, and it is tank item, and I'm dps'ing, I always asked the tank if he needs it. If not, I need it for my tank off-spec. That's just me. I actually care about offending other players, and being fair. Most people do NOT CARE. They were raised by wolves, and take what they want, everyone else be damned!!

Another problem with dungeon finder is people see it as so easy to get a group(which is untrue) they will abandon one at the first sign of difficulty. When you had to wait forever for a group and walk to the dungeon, people made a bit of effort to stick around.
And speaking of main spec... people need to recognize Main spec = CURRENT spec, not first spec.

I have a solution. Stop playing Wow like I have. If Wow wasn't so political driven it would be a much better game but, it's not and that' is the game's major downfall.

If your encountering people who disturb your game-play or who are raging so hard you cant get your point across. Please do us all a favour and screenshot the comments and inform Blizzard. They are really good at investingating these reports, and will generally ban the player for a specific amount of time.
However the sad point is, if players did this, they would be doing it daily or hourly depending on how much they play. :(

I agree on the 'thumbs up/down' system you spoke about,I even thought about it myself.At the end of the instance,people either give a +1 or -1,you'd get a faster queue next time OR people can choose the available tanks/healers/dps and depending on how many pluses or minuses they have,they'd choose..
But knowing how many assholes wow has,they'd probably abuse it.

... and what about fresh tanks? they usually have to play the first few heroics in dps spec anyway to get the tank gear and capably tank, because if they do try to tank in crappy greens and blues he will probably get cussed out and kicked anyway.
and what change do i think ruined wow? heroics were too lol during wrath and now that they require some brain usage, all of the wrath babies cry about them being to hard when theyre not.

The problem with people raging about accidental rolls is so bad that I felt I had to explain to my brother what things he could need before he did his first dungeon. I mean exactly what stats could be on an item that makes it right for him. Maybe blizz should just include something in the tooltips for items that shows what spec(s) it's for.

Every lfg dungeon i enter its always the tanks and dps that do something stupid. Normally I keep to myself bec I just want to finish an instance but as a healer, when people don't know the fights, can't cc, and can't interrupt and think that's ok then yeah I'm going to blow up on someone. If they want to waste my time I'm going to kick them in the hopes of finding a competent player.
In general, if people are doing something stupid or they are terrible at playing their class I will kick them.

LOL LFG system is awesome just depends on the ppl. I Know what im doing, if im booted better for me less wipes on me. I tank Since BC and less headace is awesome. i just get my badges and GTFO. And halls of reflection if your not a AOE tank and know how its Very hard specially if your a warrior, like what i play.

I pretty much agree with every single problem you had with the LFG system. As a tank, healer and dps, I have been unjustly bitched at from all angles of the game lol. And when i fuck up, i admit it and apologize. But, and not to make myself seem better than i am, i dont really fuck up often in Heroics, especially in the wrath heroics but still people are dicks. one thing about the thumbs up/down idea, youd probably get the assholes thumb downing good players just cuz they can

Another flaw is the Item Level minimum for Heroics. I think with the 339 ilevel on Cataclysm heroics is ridiculous. Many people equip PvP gear just to reach the minimum item level, and enter into Heroics when they aren't properly equipped. Another problem is the sheer amount of Wrathbaby noobs.. While the solution for this is to do Heroics with my guild, guildies aren't always available to do dungeons with me.

oh dear. I can't agree with you any less here. As a priest, I have had sooooooooo much gear ninja'd from me by mages and warlocks. And people seem to still think it's WOTLK, so getting kicked for having the group wipe just because I couldn't heal through the 2 groups pulled with no CC's is getting very annoying.

i think the random LFG system was the best idea bliz ever had. sure there are tones of douchebag faggots out there, and ninja's but tbh i encountered just as many ninja's in my realm before the random LFG system came out as i did with the new LFG system, once you learn how to ignore your group members it's not a bad experience. and if you're a healer or tank you pretty much get into a group within 5 minutes, most of the time instant for me and sure as hell beats zone shouting :)

They only thing about healers rolling before dps is that shaman healing stuff can work with elemental shamans and priest healing stuff can work for mages locks and even shadow but tanks should b able to roll before dps on tank stuff.

this random LFG really ruined WoW. players are more likely to ninja stuff because they have this idea that they will never see them again anyway after the instance, and they just say really heavy things to other players without considering that they might get offense. I have a lvl 85 tank and i get ninjaed by random dps players at the last boss hundreds of times, drops that i been farming for long time... and the thumbs up thing is a brilliant idea IMO. should be able to reduce bad players..

I agree completely. I am currently on a 10 day trail for WoW, ive never played before in my life. And during my first dungeon or instance or whatever its called, i was constantly bashed because i clicked NEED for some shield i NEEDED, so i clicked need. and all of a sudden im bashed over and over until they kicked me. then continued to whisper me and bash me some more. i still dont know much on how to play and idk if i will ever play again. So WoW isnt new user friendly.
