I watched some of this videos and can only come to one conclusion,the affords are good ,the speed is good(some even much faster as mark in his younger years) only much parts doesn,t come even near marks technic,in some videos i hear the trying to compensate with speed ,it doesn,t work that way.this song is as well played as it could be and i like watching it ,but have to say it miss the character

That said, one thing slightly missing.  Not hte guitars. But the really powerful percussive drumming, particularly the interplay between it and MK's guitar work. That's not quite here. But still, all in all, one fantastic job.

Holy F**ckin Cats! This is one really nice cover. The boy can play!! No one is MK other than MK, but this comes as close as you'll see or hear. Some fine playing.  I know of no other band, ever, that's attempted a cover of SoS that's the full in concert version. Awesome! Way to go. Hats off!!

He's an amazin' guitar player but ... he played a late 80s Knopfler LIVE audio rendition of "Sultans" almost exactly note for note. If these guys had taken the 70s song and done this expanded treatment of the song ON THEIR OWN it would be more impressive IMO. But, as it is: Great playing.

Better than Knopfler? No. you have to remember that Mark did it first, and we are all trying to duplicate it. Is this guy good? no, this guy is great! He is as close to mark as it gets. My hat is off to him.Mark Knopfler set the pace for everyone to follow.

In guitarplaying I don´t think he´s far away from Knopfler. Some fast parts he plays better than MK ever did. Check out his newer videos on this channel. This guy rocks!

Knopfler is a musical genius and a great songwriter, but Wolfgang plays the guitar rather as good as him.

iam a bit of a straits nerd and i,ve got pretty much everything they,ve ever released.. seen afew tributes to them like "local hero" and "the alcemists" but these guys give about as honest a tribute to dire straits as i,ve heard.. its impossible to replicate the perfection that is dire straits but 10 outta 10 for effort guys and KEEP IT UP!!!!!

i think the singer is not as good a singer as the guitarist is a guitarist. But he isn't horrible, and no there isnt a player or singer that compares to Mark. Hes as unique as they come!
