I have this CD and this is one of my favorite excerpts from it. BTW, the other speaking voice on ths recording is accompanist, Warren Jones. I've heard Ramey in recital live with Jones as accompanist. Jones is a brilliant accompanist, and also one who understands that "accompany" doesn't mean pound on the piano and drown out the singer. Of course, I don't think the accompanist exists who coud drown out Samuel Ramey. :-) That's one BIG voice!
@Taenyr The CD is called "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye" and is on the Sony label. It's a CD of American songs by Barber, Foster, Griffes, Gershwin, Bowles, and Porter. It's one of my favorite Ramey recordings.
