You do realize the immense contradiction here right? If your helping yourself, than thats not God helping you, thats YOU helping yourself. If you dont help yourself, God doesnt do anything but if you do help yuorself then he acts? Thats only cuz you actually did something
@ruderevival Was that directed at me, or someone else commenting? If it was meant for me, then you clearly didn't watch the video, nor did you notice the question mark at the end of the title. The point of the video was an elaboration on what you just said.
@AutumnSplendors How could I possibly blame God when I don't believe any gods exist? I don't think for one second that the economy is "God's fault" as you put it. Again, I don't think any gods exist. You seem to have completely missed what I was saying in the vid. My point was that it would have been detrimental for me to think there was a god influencing things, when it's really up to me to work hard and be successful. Maybe you should watch it again, without the chip on your shoulder.
@AutumnSplendors In what way does believing that I am responsible for taking care of things make me a spoiled brat? A spoiled brat would expect others to take care of things for them. A spoiled brat would not accept responsibility....because they're spoiled. You seem to just want to say something insulting to me because your feelings are hurt by my point of view. How many times in this vid did I point out that I'm the one who has to do the work? That is the opposite of spoiled.
how can a non physical thing create a physical thing unless it supernatural but i thought religious people dont believe in supernatural stuff not nly god angels and demons satan thats all supernatural
its too confusing seriously i dont belive anymore coz
1. I want the truth
2. after reading the bible got sick of he whole revelations got me thinking.
if god helps those who help themselves that means that he helps big corporations who rob people of money to make money for themsleves.
when we die if we go to heaven then why dosent everyone commit suicide but thats against religion but were gonna die anyway coz were destroying the world but why would a god want us to be in a better place but then let us rot here ???? but then if something good happends god did it but if something bad happends it dosent work like that god dosent help help
he was sent here to show us how we have to be to get to our father and have a real relationship with our father.Jesus was sent here to be a role model for all of mankind.
We are all eternal spirits having a human experience here, not the other way around ,and are all connected to each other from source,GOD(our FATHER).We were put here to make mistakes and learn and it doesnt matter what we do our Father will always love all of us.Thats why we were given free will. The kingdom of GOD is within all of us and the more we seek that within ourselves the closer we can become to our father. When Jesus said" I AM "he meant he is the way to the father,
My thought continued from below.... ...He doesn't make the decisions for us. The concept you displayed here of just "accepting the will of God" was a bit of a false premise and sounded more Islamic than Christian. I do wish you success in your business.
"God helps those who help themselves"... let it be known that this concept is NOT in the Bible and it's not a Bible verse. It is indeed your responsibility to do whatever you can and apply ACTION to your hopes and dreams. The Bible does not teach that the will of God is some "cosmic Easter egg hunt" where God has already made your decisions and you have to figure out what they are. The Bible teaches that God gives us the wisdom to make good decisions... He doesn't make the decisions for us.
really? so what about moral dilemmas? and what happens when you make a horrible decision? Like...I dunno...Bernie Madoff? Did God give him that wisdom? Your sky fairy doesn't give you wisdom...you use something called YOUR BRAIN and when you succeed its because of YOUR DECISION MAKING. why cant you own up to your own success??
Is this a serious answer? You have to be kidding... EVERYBODY only knows what they've been taught. Wisdom is something you can learn and APPLY. The Bible's wisdom happens to come from the Creator and it DOES NOT teach people to sit back and do nothing as suggested. No one said anything about God arbitrarily giving out wisdom in the way you suggest. Do some homework on the Bible before making a bad misrepresentation of it in the future. Of course maybe it doesn't bother you to misrepresent?
If you had watched some of his other videos you would realize he has already done more homework on the bible than the average christian. Apparently it doesn't bother you to skip research yourself in your own quest to misrepresent those you disagree with as not taking the subject seriously. Consider carefully Proverbs 11:12, brother. :)
Bananagraveyard... my response was NOT meant towards "Wineisyourfriend". It was a response to the comment right below it from "4jonah". "4jonah" was responding to my initial comments below that and then I responded in kind. I should have been clearer about who I was talking to. I have had a good amount of correspondence with Wineisyourfriend and have a pretty good idea of what he knows and I respect him. Sorry for the confusion.
Remember this about your god days?.....you put your best effort into a project...blood, sweat, tears. After many attempts and many sleepless nights, it Finally works!! Yay! And then some idiot comes along to *remind* you it was really god who did it, because we are nothing without him, and all the glory should go to him(not you) for every success. But had you failed, you would own 100% of that. I used to hate HATE that. I am so glad to be away from such self esteem sucking insanity.
Hey Buddy. I don't know if this will be of any help but you should definately put on a concert. Have all the kids involved, do little skits like dreessing some of them up like kiss and playing a song etc. This should generate revenue from the concert and also when parents get talking about how great it was the word will spread and more parents will want their kids to join in.
Yes, that's a good idea, jimmy. We'll actually be doing a few performances with that summer music camp I mentioned. Hopefully it will generate some interest.
That's Yngwie Malmsteen, the Rising Force album. I don't usually listen to him, but I need to teach some neo-classical electric guitar to some students, and Malmsteen is the best known artist in that style.
I hope you're able to work something out! I've actually found that my business is doing a lot better now that I'm not relying on prayer to get me there. When you only have your own hard work to get you there, it seems a lot more rewarding too. But that just must be my sinful pride talking. :P
Hope it was the problem. It took me a while to realize it was my router. I only noticed it after I picked up the speaker to see what the problem was, and the sound became more faint the further the speaker got from the router.
hard time call for a solid chin. i am sure you will take some punches but you will not allow yourself to be knocked out. Keep your hands up, protect yourself at all times and lets have a good clean fight.
i love the premise of this vid. "don't worry ill be right there." just like god to be coming up on the backside of things. my mom has said this to me several times. it's such a bullshit saying, and im glad you did this . great work, good luck with the music school. i hope GOD SHOWS UP FOR YA. LOL.
i know your really talented and i hope people see that and sign up for ya. you thought about teaching at a college or high school.
"you thought about teaching at a college or high school. "
Yeah I actually have taught for 2 colleges in the past. It's really hard to get a position that isn't just adjunct. That was the problem. Not enough money per hour and not enough hours. Thanks for the compliments. :o)
"You really think you would have been out of business if you were still a christian? Would you just have "given it over to god"?"
Yeah, probably. I can't really say for sure, but there is a pretty good chance that I would have made prayer-based decisions and faith-based decisions when I should make reality-based decisions.

I think I know the source of your sound issue.
Do you have a router or other wireless device around your speakers or microphone?
I get THE SAME noise when my speakers are to close to my router.
Try moving the audio equipment away from the router/device.
Hope this helps.

It reminds me of "insh'allah", a way of not taking any responsibility for the outcome of anything, good or bad...
