  • @prometheus19799791 Cheers my friend

  • that is a nice kit :)

  • @BamibalBoem Thanks my friend,

  • Been gone a while but had to drop in to view a video. How have you been friend?

  • @QualityKnives Hi Ash, I am doing ok, how are you my friend?

  • My favorite part is when i saw the sharpener. Many people over see them and take them for granted.

  • @survivalkiing Thanks my friend, yeah the sharpener is really handy, worth taking I think.

  • Great pouch kit. Inspires me to consider some options. Thanks for the ideas!

  • @gracejunkieca Thanks my friend, hope you come up with something similar, take care.

  • A cool idea, that should be a nice bit of kit for ya. Thanks for sharing Colin. Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2 Thanks Dragon, take care too.

  • dedred5 i like that idida . Colin u could also put some duct tape and electrical tape around your knife sharpener.

  • @kcdan1 Great idea my friend, thanks for sharing.

  • Hello again Colin, nice use of the single sheath and useful setup. Do let us know how it works out for you in due course. Take care {~_~}

  • @dragonflyhiker Cheers my friend, take care

  • That looks great! I am anxious to see what you think about the kit.

  • @decisiveweb Thanks my friend, I will do an update in the near future.

  • You could try attaching it to a belt and wear it sash like across torso, with the kit around chest area,so as to not add more bulk to your waist and to not interfere with any pack you carry.

  • @dedred5 Interesting idea mate, I do not think I will try it though,I believe it would be too bulky around the chest area.

  • Nice kit. lets us know hw it works out.

  • @dcox01 Cheers mate, will do

  • Colin, any link or brand on that multi-function whistle? Great setup! Is there any room for the extra bits in that carrier?

  • @Survivalonabudget Thanks my friend. I bought mines from a store called Decathlon. The leatherman bits won't fit in this set up but thats fine, only using it for the wild :-)

  • Great looking kit...ty Colin. Hehe...Dash

  • @mrriprock2 Thanks Dash, take care

  • Wonderful little Kit Colin! Every thing looks compact and sharp. I also like the ranger band you are protecting compass/ whistle thing with. Every time I've got one of those, I've managed to break it or lose it...; ) Have a great weekend my friend.. : o)

  • @saradreaming Hi Sara my good friend. Thank you very much. Yeah the whistle/compass is quite fragile, hopefully the ranger band will protect it. I hope you have a great weekend also, take care.

  • wow lots have thought whent in to that kit great job . i like how it seems very compack . by the the way your cat is so cool

  • @cslr11 Thanks my friend, yeah my cat is awesome. take care.

  • Very cool my friend! I really like the way you did this... all of your critical tools together and on your person.... smart setup!

  • @intenseangler Hi John, thanks my friend. Hope you are having a great weekend, take care.

  • Is it wide enough that an altoid tin would fit?

  • @2kargarage1 I don't think so I am afraid.

  • very nice setup!

    +++++

  • @Snicke22 Cheers my friend.

  • Nice little kit. I don't think the weight would be an issue, but I look forward to hearing how it worked out for you.

  • @TheTeaguzzler Thanks my friend, I suspect you are correct. Thanks for watching.

  • @1ATRS Hi JC, thanks my friend. I put some thought into this one. Looking forward to seeing how is holds up. Take care and have a great weekend.

  • @Waldhandwerk Hi Sepp, thank you very much my good friend, take care.

  • Great video. Thanks = ) I might do the same with my SOG Power Assist. ~Wolf

  • @FatDaddy4Fun Hi my friend, thank you very much. SOG MT's are great :-)

  • Cooll setup, very interesting idea. I recently got the exact same sheath based on your review of a while back. Very good thing it is too. I like the securing method on the firesteel, very neat.

  • @AussieMark909 Hi Mark, thanks my friend. Glad you got the Maxp sheath, its a great piece of gear.

  • Great setup!! Thanks for the ideas!

  • @TheForestryGuy Thanks my friend.

  • Nice kit, you put alot of thought into it. Like you said if you loose everything else, this has the essentials to cover your bases and a chance to survive. Looking forward to hearing how you like it and any changes you come up with. I hope you never have to depend on it, but great to be prepared. Take care and have a great weekend.

  • @ewtoutdoors Hi my friend, thank you very much. Yeah I hope never to use it in an emergency but its great to practice with the items and see how I like the system, hope you have a great weekend, take care.

  • Excellent set up! Thanks for sharing.

  • @CopingWithTheTimes Thanks my friend.

  • i have tuh say...pretty kick as little kit Colin. very nice. thanks fer the vid !

  • @steev5x5 Cheers my friend, I appreciate your kind words.

  • Hey colin nice setup! Nice thought with the small torch since the dark scottish winters are upon us! Just a thought, I dont recall seeing any tactical high quality torches, my personal preferance is fenix as i had just bought a Fenix TK15 for the early darkness of winter, it is outstanding with a great throw for how compact it is!

  • @gralo5 Hi my friend, thank you very much. I don't have many torches. I have a LED Lenser pen torch, Mini maglite LED and fenix eo1

  • Excellent setup! :D

  • @Valerieannleeh Thanks Valerie, have a great weekend :-)

  • Love the letherman Colin!! You have an exellent setup!! Take care my friend!!

  • @Bigntactical1 Cheers my friend, I appreciate your support.

  • That's a nice kit you have put together. Please keep us updated on how useful you find it. I like the whistle lanyard attached to the detachable lanyard ring, excellent idea.

  • @eschwebach Thanks my friend. I will be sure to do an update video on the pros and cons of this system, take care.

  • Nice kit ... I really like the whistle/compass etc thing

The whole thing reminds me a lot of Hambeau's survival kits based around a large knife sheath.

  • @WanderingWallaby Thanks my friend, Yeah the whistle kit is a handy tool. Take care.

  • Nice little kit.

  • @tendollarword Thank you very much :-).

  • That's a well organised kit , Colin. I use 3 of the Maxpedition single sheaths on my work belt, but I only put single items in them, if I need to carry extra gear I will this a try. Thanks mate!

  • @Optionsaregood Nice one my friend. Sounds like you are well organised. Take care.

  • great stuff

  • @vegantrax Cheers my friend.

  • Very nice sir, Great channel. Regards,Scott

  • @RETIREINARIZONA Thank you Scott.

  • Cool kit idea, looking forward to hearing how it works for you. Thanks!

  • @nchiker1971 Thanks my friend, looking forward to giving it a good test.

  • Right then, that's a Maxpedition sheath on 'the list'. Thumbs up on the vid, good idea

  • @Almightyrastus Thanks my friend, its a good sheath.

  • omg i love your cat!!!!! Great kit

  • @freddiemjames Haha, thank you my friend, take care.

  • You missed a bit Col! Undo the flap and on the top of the sheath there's that little pocket and it looks like you put a bit of cotton wool in there? I'll have a Brownie point for observation please and a Gold Star.

  • @oldhairpin Well spotted my friend. I do have a cotton ball shoved underneath the velcro at the front. Yeah you get a gold star for observation. Thanks my friend, Hava a great weekend.

  • I really liked how you tied down the firesteel. Very clever.

  • @colddrake80 Thank you very much my friend. Hopefully its secure in the sheath now. :-)

  • Excellent. Great bit of kit.

  • @averagejoetactical1 Cheers my friend.

  • Great little set up Colin, well thought out, looks like a awesome sheath too,

great video, looking forward to seeing how you get on with it,

    Mike

  • @WeaponCollector Hi Mike, thanks my friend. Hope you have a great weekend.

  • exellent kit ! thanks for showing ;) a smal fishing kit would be cool to add.

  • @angrybuck1 Thanks my friend, great idea with the fishing kit.

  • Hey, can you send me a link on where you got that sheath please

  • @DeckOfCards52 I got it from Heinnie last year

  • I like what you have going there, but I don't like Velcro. And I always feel better about having a full tang knife around. But my multitool kit gets an upgrade after watching your video! Thanks.

  • @johncajunmanbrown Cheers my friend. Yeah I fixed blade is always nice to have. Cheers, have a great weekend.

  • I really like the way you secured that fire steel! very smart! I actually like the entire set up! hmm I really need to get a bigger leatherman! If you had to pick just one which would it be? Supertool, Charge,Blast, wave,MUT? Which is the best for some all around usage? One day I will be able to afford them all but not quite yet :(

  • @ironmonkeyz Thank you very much my friend. Well most of the Leatherman range is excellent. For the money I think the Blast and Wave are the winners. Take care

  • wow...I gotta get me one of them MaxP sheaths if it comes

with a free Louie...lol. I love your cat Col.

    Nice lit.

I would add/make one modification to it mate. The paracord set-up for the ferro rod....I would do the same for the diamond sharpener. That little penlike clips on it...they are not that tough. Walking thru the woods...getting snagged. It will be gone befor you know it.

  • @RDPproject

    umm...KIT...not lit...lol

  • @RDPproject Thanks Rob, don't think it comes with a free cat unfortunately lol. Yes I think some paracord round the sharpener would be a good idea, cheers.

  • I have something similar to yours. I am currently using the Leatherman Charge. I put a few small pieces of Tinder Card behind mine and find it very useful with the Firesteel. My pouch is black, I like yours much better. Very nice kit!

  • @lazydogdied Thanks my friend. Glad you use something similar. Great idea with the tinder card :-)

  • Is the cat part of the kit? LOL JK

  • @jasongiddensviper478 Haha, yeah, those sharp claws are great for opening boxes.

  • The never ending quest for the perfect carry continues. :D I need to find a way to integrate a sharpener of some sort into my personal carry system one day..

Great idea for using a lanyard on the MT to get it out of the sheath, I sometimes struggle with mine and had never thought of that. Seems so simple now! Cheers Col, hope it works out for you.

  • @Smith28Adventure Hi Smith, yeah I couldn't agree more, I chop and change all the time, trying different options. Yeah the detachable lanyard works great with the sheath. Its a tight fit with all the tools at the side so a little help is nice. Hope you have a great weekend my friend, take care.

  • @JBBRUTAL Hi my friend, yeah the Surge will fit in the sheath :-)

  • Nice system THX

  • @shippen2010 Thank you my friend.

  • Very nice kit Colin. I look forward to finding out how it works. I am working with a smaller EDC one myself. I can always use a few good tips. Glad to see your cat helping you with the filming.

  • @FenrisRising Thanks my friend. Yeah looking forward to giving it a good testing.Hope you have a great weekend.

  • Nice and functional kit, thanks for sharing. Have a great time outdoors and we all appreciate your knowledge and the tips that you give us.

  • @campfire52 Hi my friend, thank you so much for the kind words and support. Have a great weekend, take care.

  • very nice kit my friend, by the way last time i used this sharpener i scratched my blade badly :(

    take care

  • @inisch Hi my friend, thank you. Sorry to here you scratch you blade with the sharpener.

  • part of my edc is a .45 sheath from TMC containing firestarter and waxed cordage, petzl elite, leatherman blast MT.

seems to be a new wave or fashion, everybody is talking about these little kits these days. Really, I'm a strong believer in morphogenetic fields after having seen so many things come up in different parts of the world but at the same time. ideas seem to get shared without real communication. or its communication on quantum basis hehe.

    keep on rockin, Colin!

  • @q1qeu Hi my friend. Sounds like a great set up you are rocking, nice one :-) Thanks for the support. You make a very interesting point too. Its got me thinking, thank you. Take care.

  • more videos of cats please

  • @nuclearthreat545 Got one shot ;-) It will be up in the near future.

  • Nice kit system colin very neat !!

its not too much and its compact

thank you very much for sharing this video .

  • @19wael96 Cheers my friend. I am looking forward to giving it a thorough testing, hopefully the results will be positive. :-)

  • nice sheath and tool setup
