@smiley15ay Hi, thanks for your kind comment. I usually do most things by ear, but I had to use the sheet music for this, basically to see what the timing was as I wanted to program my own drum track (the timing in the middle section is weird - 6/8 4/4 2/4 etc). A great piece of music, by an amazing composer, but goodness knows why he used these varying time signatures! No doubt he had good reason, and he probably didn't expect amateurs like me to try do it on keyboards. :-)
@Fantomaniac haha yes! Do you mind me asking where you got your sheet music from? Because normally I can pick things up by ear too, but I've really been struggling with this song - partly because of the odd timings like you said, but also because the end is just so fast! Thankyou :)
@smiley15ay Hi, yes, I just got a book of Bill Whelan's music from a local music shop a few years ago. I've somehow managed to lose it! :( Maybe you can obtain it from the internet though - I haven't checked to see if it's available - maybe someplace like Sheetmusic direct may be able to help you. Good Luck. :)
Did u use the Riverdance book to play that (the blue one) or do u have an organ arrangement, I wouldn't mind somehow getting a copy if u have one. I hope that didnt sound rude.
Hello!, I did use the blue book for this from what I can remember. Sadly, it went AWOL when I moved house though. :-( I love your music, by the way. Keep up the excellent work, and regards to Chris :-)
Don't worry! A lot of the sounds (and drums) you are hearing is actually from my PSR8000 keyboard which I have midi-ed up to the EL90 so that I can play the keyboard as an organ, so you are hearing both instruments. The EL90 is nice, but I'm sure you will love your EL900 even more. Enjoy making music. :-)
@HeroScape777 Hi, the composer is Bill Whelan. I had the book of his music which got lost when I moved house, so can't give you an ISBN number for it, sorry, but I'm sure if you search for Riverdance / Bill Whelan, the music should be available on the net. Good luck, and Best Regards.
@fritzg40 Thanks! It's just a finger exercise really... the worst bit is keeping time to the drum track that I programmed for it - there is no margin for error. An extra pair of hands would be nice for when these ones get tired, ha ha! :-)
Thanks hotspur1950 for your kind comments - I still have no idea who you are, though. I ate and slept this piece when I was trying to make up the drum track for it - to the point of not wanting to hear it ever again, ha ha! So I'm glad you liked it :-)
We've talked about this elsewhere but you'll have to guess who I am! I just wanted to add my comments about a brilliant performance that just begs for a follow-up - soon!
One complaint - I can't get this piece out of my head!!!!
Thanks for your kind coment John, but a little birdie told me you are an excellent player. It would be nice to see your Sonic on here :-) I am hoping to put something nice and simple on featuring the SRX06/ onboard sounds of the Fantom as well as the Theatre sounds.
Well done Nicola. Much better than my playing I'm afraid! I really enjoyed your performance, and thought the registrations were fab. I'm now really looking forward to seeing what you do with your Fantom and SRX06!!!! Now all I have to do is reply to your email!
Thanks for your support Tony, it's much appreciated. I'm too "rusty" from lack of playing, but hopefully I'll find the time to get a bit of practising in soon. Hope to put something on featuring the SRX06 in the future. Cheers! Nic
Brillant rhtym programming, ace registrations and superbly played! I can't make my fingers go that fast even when I hit duff notes! Keep 'em coming Nicola, I've already saved this one to my hard drive.
Thanks for your kind comments. I put this on to amuse some friends...Reg, it's thanks to your advice I got the Fantom and the SRX06. Hope to record something with the Fantom soon. Regards, Nicola
Hats off to you. Brilliant. I have posted it on my facebook page.

Wow! For an El-90 that's amazing, and I've just persuaded my grandparents to get rid of our 90 for a 900, I better not show them this lol
