Hi, Nice Moped Just brouht one of these off ebay for £155, hasnt been started in years, has regestration on it and V5 document, no MOT. If there isnt a problem and we get it started how much will an MOT cost and will it need taxing, its from 1965?
@andrewz105 hi, mot will cost around £28 its the price for a standard motorcycle mot, it will need taxing but it will be free due to the age, even though the tax is free you still have to get the tax disc from the post office and display it on the bike. hope that helps
Hi - u'r runabout looks super-cool, pls. can u tell me, was it easy to get registered and road legal? (I'm looking at a 'Wisp' to run round on, for a bit of 'motor-chopper' fun!) Also - (if u don't mind), how much was u'r one?? Cheers for now Bob
My first bike was an old runabout in 1974, metalic red with leg shields.
I remember always starting it by roling my foot off the magneto cover or sometimes I would wrap my school tie round it and pull, anything rather than the pedals, so uncool, lol.

@BobbyKempBigBand
yeah it was easy enough to register, just makesure the engine number and frame number are present,
I got a dating certificate which proved the age, make and model of the bike, that cost about £25 but is worth every penny.
you will need to MOT and insure the bike before you can register but most insureres will insure using the frame or engine number.
My brother and I bought two and paid £206 for the pair,
regards
Dave
