  • nice howering. i bought a blade 400 as my first non toy heli....i think i bit off way more than i can chew....wish me luck. i should probably record my first flight since i'll probably destroy it.....i had it for 6 months now, i was just too chicken crap to fly it yet!

  • how much for the copter and transmitter

  • Ce plm

  • lol i was like thats a bi heli then i looked it up and compared it to my erazor 450

  • wow that helicopter is strong ! the wind blowing the tress

  • excelent

  • The new Blade 450 3D should be out now.

  • cool vid i just got in the game with my blade mcx2 a few days ago. peace

  • How does the Hitec gyro work? I mean when you have it well set (sensitivity atc.) Does the tail shake?

  • do you have pocket copter?its my first rc

  • That thing has some horsepower baby.... thats what im talking about

  • your awssome

  • hey joe, i have a problem with my blade msr, always if i trim it to the rigt, he stays in the hover flight, but the point is, i cant turn it as fast as to the right side as to the left side, is this normal ?

  • Just got my blade 400 in Nov last year and still learning. Started nose in but not on windy days which have been a lot lately.

    Nice video!!!

  • Nice man! I am gonna get one of those soon. I have mastered the mcx2 and now the blade cp. Now time to move up!

  • at the end of the song does it say shit i like my phone?? lol

  • @differenceofkoala cheack my micophone .... lol lol..

  • i got the same heli and i broke it the first flight it fell and caught on fire sucks

  • are u a collector of this stuff?

  • Is it really that wobbly or are you constantly moving the sticks?

  • What's the balls for?

  • so far i have six rc helicopters.

  • funny how it struggles to get more than 2 feet off the ground

  • @rubberperson no it doesnt lol E Flite is the best brand in electric heli's. these things can rocket up and leave others in the dust. hes just being careful

  • @SpartanDara117 Eflite is not the best brand in electric helis. They are the best brand if your new to helis and want something cheap. The best helis are Mikado, Align, Logo... Do some research and look them up. Eflite are kid toys.

  • @rubberperson if you think it is easy then go buy one and try its harder then it looks

  • dude this is a great video and now i want to go buy one!!

  • love the way you showed the helis at the begining great vid~

  • subscribed!! :D

  • a grown man playing with a toy.... how sad

  • @eldan94 Its not a Toy..their very dangarous and not for kids...so dont get one.

  • @eldan94 It's not a toy man. Toys come from walmart. Cheap, plastic disposable helis come from walmart. This is a 3D heli, uses high grade plastic and a bunch of stuff you couldn't get your head around. Not for kids because it would take a finger off...

  • amm do u know how to make a cheap rc car to drift ?????

  • @nopeadox electric tape on all of the tires. careful if it is a nitro because the rpms could wreck the motor

  • what heli do you think i should get the blade 400 or blade sr

  • @fishingbass100 Blade 400 is awesome! and cheap parts. The Radio that follows is also awesome.

  • gooooddd yyyeeesss

  • Hi Joe Great Vids ! I have a question u see i got the Blade cp Pro.. I charged the battery Fully and thin i connected with heli . wen i lugg it in it moves the blades i tiny bit but then also when i plug iit in a red light blinks 3 times then flashes red and green ? i turn on transmitter and nothing happens ? can u help me ? thanks -hardy

  • @MGxHaRDy Always turn on radio first.... Read manual!

  • What kind of cam are you using? Good angle, good shooting. Keep up the good work! 5 stars

  • @CrazyHeliDude I used a sony handycam for the video. Thanks for watching.

  • @SUICIDEKID1234

If you look closely, u can see *leaves* moving in the wind. i saw more than one *leaf* moving; it was definitely windy during this flight.

  • nice 1st flight, hovering against the wind. Was it a little scary when the wind started to tilt it?

  • hmzi am soo lonelyy any one up for some chatting with a cute girl

  • Great job!

  • What do you and Dave H. Think about the stock servo's? Seems like a lot of people bag on them.

  • how long does batt last

  • 7 to 10 minutes depending on how har u push it

  • @mike187ism In HARD 3D mode, it will last as little as 4-5 min

  • My first heli was blade cx 2 and then blade msr and I just got mcx and im ready for 6ch and I think im geting esky king 3 because it cheap to repair and nice looking.

  • Hey, I just got back into helicopters after 3 years absence and would r\recommend the Belt Cp V2. Its slightly bigger and thus easier to fly. It also looks great too.

  • Sounds like a good plan to me. Thanks for watching.

  • @NewBraza do not get the honey bee king 3 i have the heli and i wish i would of gotten the blade 400 insted (I have the 400 now) the honey bee king 3 i so UNSTABLE and there is always something wrong with it.

  • O thanks I alot. I didn't get it I got blade cp pro instead and now my going for align trex 250!

  • I got trex 250 last week and my still working on it, it was my first ARF heli,

    little difficult >:)

  • @NewBraza

Genraly cheep to repair means easy to break.

  • I fly helicopters myself, actually But, i was flying my helicopter, my sister screamed when she saw it go up really fast. It hit the roof. now i need a new body :(

  • Thanks for watching.

  • sorry if this is a dumb question i dont know stuff about helis. what exactly does fixed pitch mean?

  • No question is dumb. Only some answers.

Fixed-Pitch helicopter rotor blades just go round and round. Increased lift is generated by increasing speed of rotation making the aerofoil shape of the blade a "better wing".

Cyclic-Pitch helicopter rotor blades rotate at a high constant(ish) rate, lift is controlled by the blades tilting up/down (changing pitch) like the ailerons on a plane, but the whole "wing" tilts not just the bits at the edge.

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • I did of course mean collective pitch for up and down, cyclic pitch is the adjustment of the blade pitch to go forwards, backwards & side-slip left & right. ;-)

  • hmmm i wanna buy that on dude! ;)

  • I have the mcx and have practicaly done everything I can with it, now getting a bit bored of it.

Do you think I would be able to step up to the 400 3d or should I get something in between first?

I dont have access to a sim

  • Between first !!!!!! sure !!! a 3D CP heli is very hard to control ! I recommend the Blade MSR; it's almost the same that the Mcx but it's a monorotor heli ! it's verys stable and it's very fast. It's nice for learn more about single rotor heli and it's no very expensive ( 175€ here in france). Hope I have help you ;-)

  • Buy FMS from nitro planes for $20. It is a basic flight sim that will teach you heli and airplane flight. You can also use the controller with clear view flight sim and that is free on the net.

I would not suggest jumping from an mcx to a blade 400. Get good on the flight sim and then try a fixed pitch heli. Once you are good with the FP then try something different.

  • Is there an option on this heli to temporarily fix the pitch to simulate a fixed pitch heli....so you dont have to spend the extra money by buying a FP then going to something different?

  • The blade 400 can be flown in fixed pitch or 3D mode.

  • nice first flight !!!

have fun with this little beast :)

and looking for the blade Mcx. ist the perfect indoor model and the little brother of your big blade ;)

  • good flying, nice flying for a first

  • Looks like your going to enjoy this heli..

Iv made a mistake by buying a cp pro 2 before i even touched a heli ever..

when iv tryied to fly it over and over agan with no succsess i realized that it is neccessary to use a SIM at the begining ..or at least use a Coax heli..savin money on extra blades...

  • Ya i have the blade cx2. It fly nicely but it depeds on if you have flow helis before. If your a beginner get the cx2, its co axial but for me its the best 4 channel heli out there. The Blade cp pro 2 is more advanced. Yes you do get bored with the co axial helis, because there not as manuvarable but they are great. All the eflite balde series helis are really good, Get one!!!

  • You make it look easy. I'm thinking about the Cp pro 2 as my first. I have a clear view sim that I've practiced with and I like to think I'm pretty good. I think the CP pro 2 would be a good start.

If you could do it again, would you start with the co axel? In my case I think I would get tired of the co-axel quickly. I think I could handle the cp.

    What's your thoughts?

  • well, a simulator is nothign like flying a real heli or airplane, its just kinda for playing around once you get to a certain point. i would recommend something fixed pitch single rotor, but not one of those small ones, then go on to the cp pro

  • well when u crash a sim u hit the little red button and try again

this u crash break a lot go inside pissed order new ones do it all over again

  • I got myself a honeybee fixed pitch about 6 months back and was just getting the hang of hovering when the transmitter failed on me and the heli went in. If i plug the TX into my PC via a USB cable i can actually see the unprompted commands going all over the place.

I was going to get another HBFP to play with but i think i might just go ahead and skip to the Blade 400 as i have heard it's actually quite a good trainer with the settings toned down.

    Nice Heli!

  • Oh i forgot to ask i heard the only weak point with the Blade can be the standard servos, did you have any problems with yours or have you upgraded them?

    Cheers Lee.

  • man if that was your very first heli flite holy crap those are pretty hard to hover in gusty winds(at least i couldnt) but nice man..good luck with it in the future

  • did u just buy one of them without a beginner heli???

  • i had flown some co axiel and micros but that was my first 6 channel heli..

  • loll ive just finished co axiel helis now moving onto singe rotor helis already had some experience at them

  • yeah thats how it was when i flew this..i hadnt bought it i had gone to a friends house who had it and flew it their..but yeah i just fly Walkera's 4g3 and i love it

  • yhh helicopters are very fun machines

  • I started with the blade cx first and worked my way up. Thanks for watching.

  • I started with the blade cx first and worked my way up. Thanks for watching.

  • very stable considering 10mph winds

  • Thanks for watching.

  • Hi, love this video, although its short, but it really is a interesting video, lol

Your great at flying, if that was only your 3rd heli, then you must have something special :)

    Great vid!!!

  • Thanks kindly

  • WOOT! Now I can't wait to get a blade 400. I hope to order it tomorrow, I wanna fly it at the forth of july at my uncles farm. He has a perfect field right behind his house. Its great for rc, there is even a strip next to it he mows, so its like a runway for planes. maybe I can use it as a helipad too :D

  • Thats great. Thanks for watching.

  • Actually, I lied, I've decided not to get it and to spend my money elsewhere, but i'll still fly my plane there :D.

  • very nice i loved my 400 also..

  • Thanks kindly.

  • Hi Joe! I can confortabely fly my cx2 in all possible maneuvers without crashing. I would like to buy a Blade 400, is it much more difficult to fly than a Cp pro?

  • I would buy a flight sim, then get alot of flight time in on the sim on a collective pitch heli first. Then when you feel comfortable on the sim you will know which one is right for you.

  • ...good suggestion, I will follow it.I plan also to buy the F4u Corsair since I am more trained on planes and i think I will do it first, the seller of my usual shop told me that it flies great. But I like the Blade 400 very much...is the realflight g4 a good simulator or do you know a better one? Have you heard about the multiplex "funcopter"? it will be available in july can be a good trainer too.

  • Really this is up to you. I dont recommend flight sims because some cheap ones work just as good as the high dollar ones. What you want in a flight sim is to be able to use a real stick controller to simulate flying. I have tried cheap ones and high dollar ones and both will work, it is just up to you if you want the scenery to be prettier or not.

  • Hey daviddl41, I would just get the blade 400 just know basic controls of mcx. I have gotten a small 3d cp heli for my first heli.....frustrating but possible. But I sold and got a mcx, and got confident with it. I then got a bigger coaxial heli. A complete waste of time and money. They are the same thing and one is just a little more sensitive. I would have rather got the 400 instead of having the coaxial which I dont want now and being broke so I cant get 400. My 0.02

  • Hi Eric just one question, have you ever tried the blade cp pro 2? would you recomend it??

  • I have not flown one myself, but this is what I hear about them from friends at the hobby shop. Eflite fixed all the things that was wrong with the CPP and made the CPP2. So, if you have ever flown a CPP with a heading lock gyro then there will not be that much of a difference.

  • Not bad flying for it being windy.

  • Thanks kindly crowe73.

  • I have had my mcx for awhile and I just

started to be confident with it...Although

the reverse direction thing still gets me

for a few seconds at times...Do you think

I can jump to 400 in two months? I

think once i get flawless with the reversal

of direction thing I will be good with the mcx.

  • I would not go from an MCX to a 3D heli. The next step would be a bigger coaxial heli, become confident with it and then step up to a bigger fixed pitch heli or a 3D. It takes time, patience, and practice. If you stick with this you will have more fun in the heli hobby and not become frustrated when you cannot fly a 3d bird.

  • Can you go from being brilliant with a simulator to flying this heli? Ive never flown one in real life, i can fly one all day on the simulator though.

  • My suggestion would be to get a coaxial blade heli first and then decide after you fly it. Sim training is a big help though chris.

  • Hey man, just a question, do you recommend the blade 400 for an intermediate pilot? like i have a blade cx2 and mcx and i have flown them both mcx much more stable cx2 not really but can fly it, just few times ive crashed, and i was thinking of going to bigger helis, do you think blade 400 is alright for me? how long is your flight time? and how hard is it to control? compare to blade cx2. =D thanks!

  • I would not get a 400 until you can fly the cx2 in all orientations without crashing. I felt the same way with my cx and got the cp pro and found out I needed more training. A flight sim helps also neptune15us.

  • G'day mate, are the blade 400 & the DX6I both good products?

  • The blade 400 is a handful to be sure. The dx6i is a very good controller. I am using it for my blade 400, blade mcx, and 2 other planes pannyv.

  • Yo joehandsome99 thanks for replying I have a little micro heli that i fly indoors I like it but I'll stick to my airplanes.

  • I flew my mcx just a few mintues ago. Thanks for the comment xzibit369.

  • i dont have rc helis only planes do u think i can jump straight into a blade 400 or not im not looking at staying with electric im looking at a raptor 50 or 30 so........

  • I would buy something tamer first. The blade 400 is 3D ready right out of the box. If you havent flown a heli before it will be a short flight. Hope this helps spitfireMK22.

  • nice heli I like it but personaly i favor airplanes but I'm still a beginner

  • I like airplanes also, but the heli's are just as fun at times xzibit369.

  • Really nice best of luck with it.

  • The helis are a handful. Thanks for watching and the support Tommy.

  • Nice job....great videos!!! I'm glad I found you!

    Mike

  • Thanks kindly for the comment skiboyscuba.

  • nice heli man!! like it alot

  • Thanks for watching butterfenco.

  • anytime

  • Nice flying. I have a cx2 i have had it for 2 months i am looking to get a bigger heli do you think i should get the cp pro2 or should Just jum straight to the 400 i herd it flies way better than the pro?

  • That really depends on your flying ability. I own the mcx, cx, cp pro, and the b400 and personally like the b400 the most because it does handle better than the cp pro to me. The b400 is not a toy by any means and can hurt you if you let it. Hope this helps peetiepan.

  • had it, it flew away, wind sucks...

  • The Blade 400 is a wildcat to be sure. I am still learning with it 24flyer.

  • nice flying i got two blade 400 and was noticing that your gyro is slightly tight(too much gain)by looking at that fish tailing attitude just reduce little gain and you"ll have an pussycat easy flying heli experience

  • Thanks for the tip stealhty1.

  • blade tracking is off. You can tell my the noise and you can see it.

  • It may have been during that flight, but isnt now. Thanks for watching girrocks12345.

  • IMO the B400 looks better with that canopy, The stock canopy just looks a bit bland.

  • I like this canopy also. Thanks helimeal.

  • i have a honeybee mrk 3 fixed pitch and i was wondering if the 400 would be a good next heli?

  • It really depends on your ability with the honeybee. I would suggest a flight sim for sure along the way. I think the blade 400 is a great heli and it blows away my blade cp pro. Thanks for the comment and hope this helps anderbones.

  • Next...? Trex 600 :)

  • I am having lots of fun with the blade 400 right now, but who knows, maybe a trex 600 will be next on the list. Thanks for the comment betofazzo.

  • Get a T-rex 500, that is a great heli

  • Hey thanks for the tip Tommystokke.

  • do you think the blade 400 is the right second heli after the blade cx 2,?

  • It depends on your ability. I would suggest a flight simulator first. If you are good in the sim, then buy the blade 400. Thanks for the comment mordoringer.

  • yes, that would be wise and I wouldve bought the realflight g4 but we recently converted to macs and there isnt a pc in our house, so Im waiting until they come up with a version for maccintosh.

  • Someone told me you could get a program that emulates the windows system on a mac so you could run windows based programs. I dont much about macs, but that maybe something to look into. Thanks for the comment mordonringer.

  • Never give up. If it is something you take an interest in then you will find it rewarding no matter what. The blade 400 is an awesome heli. Thanks for the comment shaunmcin.

  • The CP Pro 2 has taken care of the CP issues-- it should be a great little heli. I'm learning to fly my 400 now as well ( 10 days or ownership-- from a CX2 ) and I'm thinking about getting a CP Pro 2 to practice on-- I won't mind crashing it as much and I figure if you can fly a CP, you can fly anything! Nice job-- flying in the wind makes you a better pilot for sure. I fly regardless of the weather-- that's how ya get good, right?

  • Thats good to hear. Once I started flying my blade 400, I knew my cp pro would start collecting dust. I practice more on my flight sim now than I did before and keeping a log book on my training and flight times. I would like to know how the cp pro 2 handles if you buy one. Thanks for the comment studio5thirty.

  • Nice job the Blade 400 is a great RTF except for the servos. After I replaced 7 servo gear sets I bought different ones. They would have lasted long if I didn't crash so much LOL See ya Charles

  • Thanks for the great comment Charles.

  • I love the Blade, came from a HBK2, the blade is leaps and bound above the king 2, I brought me from basic hovering to full forward flight and piros, now I take it up 200 ft, bringing it down is very very nerve wracking, good job!

  • I have been having a good time with mine so far. The new moves sound good. Let me know when you post a video. I look forward to watching your blade 400 in action. Thanks for the comment longerino.

  • Nice job. hope you have lots of learning with this one :) That is I Hope you get it to new level of skill. and not new levels of Rebuild ;) Look forward to your FF flights and so forth. take it easy and Be ware the wind eh ;) (PS if you thumbs shake then that's ok. Well that's what I tell myself ;)

  • Thanks so much for the comment HX3D014. What is your name? You were quite an inspiration to me early on. I hope to have many more flights with this heli.

  • The 400 is a very nice heli.Love it.The blade cp pro. was junk.

  • You saw my first 2 helis in the video. I almost gave up heli flying because of my blade cp pro. I am glad that I gave E-Flite one more chance. I have heard nothing but positive comments from blade 400 owners and now I know first hand they were right. It is a dream to fly.

    Thanks for the comment madtwjdog.

  • very nice :)

  • Thank you gnoreville.

  • Congratulation eric! i guess the congress (wifie)finally ok'd the budget huh? happy for you.very nice heli hope to see more video of this heli when it's not windy anymore.regards to you.jdgalmbz

  • I havent made a heli video in months. I was wondering if you would see this or not. Glad to hear from you and thanks for the comment. I am waiting for some calmer weather so I can get out with it. This heli flies way better than the blade cp pro.

  • Wow really cool video Eric.

  • Thank you so much for the comment torontoteddy62.

  • Looks good Eric... Really cool!

  • It is a blast to fly. Thanks for the cool comment hismastership.

  • Awesome heli. Like Dave said, that thing really cranks! You get a finger caught up in that thing and you're gonna know it! LOL Can't wait to see more flights!

  • You bet it cranks. When I first fired it off I was amazed at the blade speed. It is going to be alot of fun for sure. Thanks for the comment Jeff.

  • u look so concentrated

  • Flying a rc heli is not as easy as some make it look here on youtube. You cant afford to take your eyes off it for a second. Thanks for the comment davidstyle6.

  • Nice Heli! Looking forward to more videos! Thanks for sharing!

  • It is very cool and flies way better than my blade cp pro. I look forward to doing some 3D with this bird when I get more comfortable with it. Thanks for the comment Brian.

  • Great job Eric! Glad you have one now too. They are a lot of fun. Wait till you put that baby into forward flight. It cranks. Good luck with it. 5 stars.

  • My only regret is that I should have bought one of these sooner. It is intimidating at first, but a blast to fly. Now, I am going to be bugging you for heli tips since you have the same bird. Thanks for the comment Dave.
