I have a 60s Flyer, a middleweight cantilevered coaster brake single speed (like another frame you know, just a smidge smaller, big chromed dhainguard with a fin. Don't know the model because the paint and decals all went south but it sae M.O.M. on the headbadge so I figured it was made by Murray Ohio Manufacturing.
Or my MOM. Moms bought a lot of these bikes I would think!
Ray Scott (1920-1998) was a sportscaster. He was the main television play-by-play voice for the Green Bay Packers from the late 1950s through the 1960s; accordingly, he became associated with the Vince Lombardi era. He had a number of famous calls, such as, "Starr...Dowler...Touchdown!" He also was the lead broadcaster for CBS' NFL coverage in the late 1960s; sure enough, the Packers were the best team at that time, so a number of games he did involved the Packers. He worked for CBS until 1974.
My first bike was a green Western Flyer.

My family sold these in our Western Auto store for about 46 years. This brings back a lot of memories. It was called at one time "the family store."
