No secrets here, i use fraps like everyone else. Recording is not that important, the important thing is how you render the files in sony vegas. I experimented with a few HD formats and changed the settings to get the best quality. And that's all there is to it. I can give you a good sony vegas hd tutorial in a pm if you want.

How different do you feel the gameplay is to that of the Silent Hill series?

Saw is the closest thing to Silent Hill, apart from minor details they are very similar. If you played Silent Hill: The Room you can see the similarities. The only noticeable difference i can think of is that in Silent Hill you have allot more open areas, you can even get lost where in saw its pretty straightforward. And Silent Hill has more combat, Saw has more puzzles.
