Did you literally take ever ball and set its path, or is there like a sort of animated 'routine' that you just repeated every now and then?

Several balls can share the same path, but the timing of every ball must be animated. The good news is that when the music repeats, I can simply "copy" the animation of those balls that play at that time. All in all, it is pretty tedious though.

@dhugger That copy thing is what I meant. I use cheap (0 dollars, 0 cents) and easy software made entirely for people who don't know any actual words, so I didn't really know how to put into actual sensible ones.

I was at school last year (for kinda a senoir project) trying to create a robot band- cotnroled using madtracker and photoresitors to pick up the codes on the screen- (it would have been more light controlled than computer) and then having the photoresistors connected to a circuit that would trigger a soliniod- which would (varying on the instrument) pull a drumstick down (for the drums) push a key (for the keyboard) and for the guitar - it would have to hold down a string and pluck it.

I'm working on a new one. It's going to be short (no more than two minutes), however, it'll have something that none of Animusic's animations have: the ability to be built in real life.

Actually, animusic could make their animations real, but it would cost millions!

Some things maybe, but structurally, a good chunk of their stuff would fail (i.e. Gyro Drums). And, I disagree, many of their pieces would be physically impossible to build (and work) without heavy modification (Pogo Sticks, Fiber Bundles, etc).

Again, after I saw "Harmonic Balance," I say wow. Granite, I keep thinking that there must be a more realistic sound of the balls running against the bars.
