I'm a woman who will admit Sarah is pretty. And I'll agree with Liz that she doesn't have credentials for any job. I think her sexiness appeals to the men, and she uses it to her advantage, punctuating it with a wink now and then. And she grabs the women by telling them she's just like them. Women know she's pretty, so they are flattered that she thinks they are like her. But, hey, in the world of politics, you have to go with what you have even if it's just sex appeal and folksy ways.

Now I do believe that over regulation will crush an economy however if loosening regulations can lead to this removing them is something that must never be done.

Either she was coarsed into making the apology by fox news to alleviate any criticism, they do it frequently so this is always a possible.
or she requested to because the joke was a 'bad attempt at humour' and the apology was sincere over her mistake.
Too be honest though she does seem quite a maverick compared ot most so I wouldn't discount the second one as rationalisation.
