  • Hey this is a rip-off of the Golden Grahams jingle!

  • @metallicstucco HA HA HA! It's quite the opposite....

  • So NOT know how I missed this one! How fabulous, this very early version!

  • @sideshowtink That's okay Tink. My Aunt that lives in Tennessee was talking about this song with me a few days ago at our family reunion. I put it up on FB so she could listen to it. I had asked her about my grandmother's victrola and this was one of the songs she remembered well that my grandmother used to play a lot. I may possibly be getting it too, if it's okay with her daughter who has it now. It would mean a lot to me knowing it was played by my grandparents for so many years.

  • Thanks for posting.

  • @doris780 Thanks for tuning in. :-)

  • Wonderful! Thank you so much for this. What a fantastic recording.

  • @FretlessFury Thank you! I hope you'll enjoy the other two versions I have posted too.

  • That's some really awesome harmonica. I've never heard of this guy, I was just looking for golden slippers so I can play it on harmonica. Thanks for posting!

  • Yes, he was definitely a pioneer in music, especially traditional americana folk and country&western. I've got a lot more of his songs posted too and many more to come. He had a tremendous catalog of recorded songs. I don't think I would ever be able to get them all.

  • lol gold recoerd plus my favorite

  • Best ever. The reminds me or the MUMMERS.

  • Oh boy this is is great! My favorite version!

  • I'm glad you like it. Dalhart is one of my favorites, and I've got a lot more of his music posted on my channel if you're interested. Thanks for your comment!

  • One thing I can never figure out. Who is playing that awesome harmonica? It has to be either Carson Robison or Dalhart. I believe that has to be John Cali playing that sweet banjo solo at 1:07.

  • I believe that it was Dalhart playing the Harmonica. Another possibility for that great banjo is Harry Reser. Thanks for your comment and for listening.
