  • Very nostalgic, to see many of my friends in Suzana. It's where we live and work, where we greet each other with Kassumay! (peace, health and well being to you!)

  • A very touching video made by sensitive people who can seen the humanity of these people shining through and embrace them without a trace of condescension. The world needs more people like these...

  • I stood there with a friend from The Gambia (on rootstour),one of the best times of my life. Saw Bissau from inside, was allowed to live with the nice people in a family-compound and stood lucky in any way! BLESS

  • Spent a wonderful 2 weeks in the area around Binar just after the civil war. Was assisting schools with equipment, and also soccer kits, balls, goals etc. Lovely country and such beautifully friendly people. Would love to return....

  • Ainda tem muito que se descobrir de um lugar tão rico... Que se livrou da guerra a tão pouco tempo.

  • Great images of Bissau. i would like to know the country and culture. The respect for all cultures is a biggining to the world peace.

  • Have you thought about Earth Bag construction for the highschool?? It only takes plastic bags and barbed wire to construct the walls, using on site dirt. Very inexpensive and very fast.

I have been taught to love Bissau by friends who studied at the University here many years ago in Tucson, Arizona.
