on windows mobile, can you download apps directly onto your phone rather than having to use a computer? Also, can you use an SD memory card to store apps? I really need an answer, thanks

What are you talking about? These phones are almost always subsidized by carriers. The iPhone isn't.

Well i like the apple UI but not the iPhone and trust me i don,t wish to own an iphone but i still think its a nice theme!its just a theme!and it looks good thats all.Thats one of the things why WM rocks u can customize it just the way u like.

And you can't customize the iPhone? It's just as supported by its developer as the WM customization, meaning it isn't.

Supported customization on WM means color changes and wallpaper changes. That's it.

As I said, that's all that is supported really with Windows Mobile. Show me anywhere that Microsoft documents anything else, because they really don't. There's a difference between support and capability.

I've got an iphone, and its quite amazing, especially since they are gonna be releasing 3.0. But the reason why i dont use the iphone as my primary phone is because it doesnt do basic things, like adobe flash on the browser.. customisable backgrounds, and the poor battery life leaves me stuck on the train with a phone on its way out.

Apple havent addressed these issues, so im moving on to a different company in search for a better product

Microsoft has already stated that Windows Mobile 6.5 will not support capacitive screens nor multitouch.

It's pretty typical of Microsoft. They'll only sit on their asses until the public realizes the difference between the two, and REALLY demands it then they'll make a half effort.

I'm sure of this. Product managers have already mentioned this in interviews. Like I said, it's pretty typical of Microsoft to act this way.

Microsoft has refused to merge the product lines thus far, and even though they probably should, I can't see it happening. Microsoft is just very resistant to change, and does a lot more reacting than pro-acting as far as I'm concerned.
