One thing that bugged me is that I thought the bob-omb was too small. I thought it'd been more accurate if it were the size of Mario's s fist or bigger. Even more ridiculous as to just how powerful the little one in this movie is. If it was scaled to size like that in-game, the levels featuring them would be either nearly impossible to make it through, or extremely advantageous in high-volume enemy encounters!

Wait wait. HOLD UP! People praise Batman Begins and The Dark Knight because it's gritty and realistic interpretation of a comic book franchise. But Super Mario Bros. The Movie does the EXACT SAME GODDAMN THING and it's heralded as the worst video game movie of all time?

This is the weirdest part of the movie to me. I mean, by this point you've stopped trying to convince yourself this is a Mario movie, and are just enjoying it for the campy goodness it is. And then, out of nowhere, you get a 100% game-accurate Bob-omb out of left field, and you remember that this is supposed to be an adaptation of the games.
