Let Me Tell Ya, I'm A Singer/Songwriter With 45+ Years Of Music Under My Belt... GGGreat Job !! Better Than Most That I've Heard. Keep Up The Great Work Bro. Merry Cristmas !!!!
Great job. Any negative comment is one prompted by jealousy. Only room for positive comments on this. You made this your own and did so without losing the beauty of the song. All the stars I can give.
The first time I heard this song was recently off the Road Hammers album. They did a great version also. I think you did an excellent job. Beautiful voice!
Don't let anyone tell you any different, this is an excellent version. Thanks for making it your own. Been wanting to do this song but I've never been comfortable with 'talking' in a song. I like the way you sang the first couple verses. I was hoping to find a version this morning where someone did just that and your video finally came up. Well done my friend, well done.
Great job!! I've been doing this song for almost 30... never heard such a clean, pure, crisp version like yours. Fantastic! Flowing, not choppy or course... great soulful singing and voice and great playing ability. Keep it up, thanks "G"
I like everything about this cover to a great old classic. It really captures the feel and the message of the song. This is the best cover to this song on youtube. Finally, here is a musican that plays with passion and meaning. Thank You!!! Enjoyed it very much!
Sorry but every version of this song on you tube apart from little feat's is correct. everyone plays it wrong, its not chords all the way through theres the nice picking bit at the start.
If Lowell wanted it to sound like this he would have wrote it this way.Heard it on a cruise ship or in a Holiday Inn like this once.Twice now. What's with the last chord?Blinkkk!!! Get some soul and let the song play you.....
I disagree. Kudos for a very interesting interpretation, Peter. Your skills are top shelf and I like what you've done with the song. But the song - one of my personal favorites - is about rough living, and for my money, you just can't top the folky, twangy, George Lowell version.
Very good cover of a great song -- one of the best I've heard. You've got a great voice. My only comment is a correction: The town is "Tehachapi" (a town in California), not "Wehachapi"
Great! I think this song is just great. I think I remember Lynda Rondstad(?) singing it years ago on British TV. I must look at Little Feat all over again.
How about Will Kimbrough's "Goodnight Moon" ? right up your alley (methinks)
If you could do it in the key of A... it would really suit you... just depends on whether or not you can hit the high "A" when you go to the F#m... if you could...you'd own it!

Good playin' and singin' style. It's not about how to copy a song; it's about makin' it your oun. You did good on this one, brother.

Don't people look really stupid when they criticize others "imperfections" when they have no idea what they're talking about in the first place.
How do you fell ......stupid?

I love this song, great work. Recorded a little too close to the mic tho, there's some distortion in parts. Anyway, great work.
