I've got a question: I recently started landing my first (cheat) gainers from J-steps (u can chek my video if u wanna see). I generally get plenty of height but I'm having a hard time making the full flip rotation. So what do you guys think is a better setup to gain rotation > height, J-step or Scoot?
hey, thanks for this tutorial ! :) i was allready doing scoot-gainer before i watched this but i need tips. when i land my gainer down, i was turned about 90 degrees and i don't know why ! :o i'm trying to do it "strainght" but it still turns 90?
@TheJuunaziboy Its just the momentum from the scoot. Focus on squaring off your shoulders and kicking straight ahead of you. If you can post a video I can help and be more specific
Thanks to this I just did bkick, sweep, scoot, s/t and if it wasn't wet out I'ld add a gainer or something. I'll settle with that for now though, I just needed more tricking in my freerunning.
Hey by any chance could you make a scoot-valdez (or touchdown gainer switch w/e you wanna call it) tutorial? I can already scoot. It's just going into the valdez that's giving me a problem
@Xophein0527 I really can't right now =(. I'm leaving for basic training in 2 weeks, so I'm busy as shit trying to get ready. I'll post more stuff when I get back, and I'll put valdez on my to-do list.
yes im going to try it.... does the touch down hook kick really help to improve the power of the scoot or is it just there to make it look better? cuz i dont know which i should try first...
If you do it with good form, yes, it will help get you more power and momentum. But it really is just personal preference. Try it and see if you like it, if not, just stick with the scoot.
