  • can i use rubbing alcohol or drinking alcohol (whiskey, vodka, etc..)?

  • awesome music

  • So do we use rubbing alcohol?

  • how much percent of alcohol is in heet

  • It felt like A sad movie at the beginning the happy at the end lol

  • do I need to keep the preheater always filled? or, will the stove keep burning after the alcohol of the preheater is gone?

  • Does everclear work?

  • can you use Acetone?

  • This song gave me suicidal thoughts

  • really like the music. thanks for sharing, and thanks for the message at the end :)

  • Great idea! I plan to build one with 1 modification. I am gonna use a third can bottom as a screw down lid. Just cut one down with no side walls and drill same ize hole and yse thumb screw to hold in place.

  • Doesnt it defy the point of cooking on top of it when u smoother the burners out cause u choose to place them in the center dimple of the can...

  • Thanks for sharing your ideas here. I assume you need a stand of some sort to put the pot on over the stove. Am I right?

  • how long does it burn for?

  • Like your vid. How long does this stove burn? I asume it will burn longer with a bigger base. Du you know how: xx tall = xx burntime?

  • I have a question: will white gas for other camping stoves work instead of alcohol or HEET?

  • hi thanks for the video , what type of alcohol do you use? coz i used the camp fire starter but it didn't work.

    thanks

  • @ammar7777 Denatured alcohol is the best, it is in the painting section, or in the automotive section you can find yellow bottles of HEET. Both of these alcohols work great for these types of stoves.

  • @NCHiker1970 @ the moment i found the medical 70% solution alcohol, ill try and see how it works.thanks for your reply bro.

  • @NCHiker1970 hi i made a stove mabey 5 or 4/5 of a centimeter and i want to know if metho is ok because my friend made a short one wich uses metho and it didnt explode is metho safe?

  • @NCHiker1970 p.s. is it ok if i put the jets on the outer side of the groove on the edge of the can? thx

  • After watching this I just made one just 2 cm (about 4/5") tall to fit my Esbit stove. As it's so short, fuel capacity is quite small, but I still was able to boil 1l (about 1quart) of water with a single filling, so works ok at least in warm environment. I found there's no need for a preheater if some fuel i poured on top of the stove, in the "channel" formed around the dome of the can bottom an then lit, it will preheat the burner sufficiently, at least a short one like mine.

  • @Murgoh Great idea, Have you thought about using Arizona Tea cans to get a larger fuel capacity? You gave me some food for thought and maybe an Idea for another video to attach to this one. Feels good to make your own gear doesn't it! Enjoy your creation and I hope it serves you well!

  • @Murgoh cool i made a huge one like 4CM's tall and you can practically run it forever, it burns for so long i had to put it out after about 5 to 10 minutes it runs on metho.

  • Since they are so simple build more than one that way you could toss the stove after you have worn it out if you get so many meals out he thing you know your other stove is waiting already built. Why dont yall buld your stoves out the steele cans so they will last longer sure they will weigh a bit more but they will make it to the other side the AT.

  • Carrying an extra stove is always a good idea no matter what type you carry, but don't underestimate the simple stove design. I know of 4 of these stoves that have made it from one end to the other on the AT. Im not one who counts grams and have carried stoves made of tin cans, the issue is they burn up the fuel faster because of the amount of heat they hold. Every stove has pros and cons to it, it is more or less personal choice as to what one carries.

  • If you don't want to let it burn out, how is the safest way to put the flames out?

  • @fishnut89 Also, alcohol evaporates at much lower temperatures than water. So you could get it going by just warming the filled stove up in your hands or between your legs, but the method describe here will work much better and faster.

  • its just like a trangia

  • I like the video. I tried this design after watching. I got a long burn time but the flame really wasn't that intense. Was hard filling it without the "hose" that you use. I used 16 holes drilled with 1/16 drill bit. Used Heet as the fuel. Will see how long it takes to boil water. And report back when I get a chance.

  • nice ambiance :P

    what is it?

  • Enough with the recycle stuff!

  • v nice but ah man, you gotta sort out the contrast on ur text!

  • RESYCLE !!!

  • @houssam1997 actually reuse :p

  • Hi! Great video,great stove.

But could you explain what advantage this stove has over the ,,cat stove" ?

It is an even more simple, and very effective alcohol stove made out of a can. (check yt if you haven't seen it)

    cheers!

  • I use this type of stove for day hikes and in warmer weather. I can use this stove with a smaller bottom pot such as the Heineken Pot or with my Snow Peak cups. The Cat Stove seems to work better with a larger diameter bottom pot. Each stoves have pros and cons. Although it takes less time for the cat to heat up and be ready and the cat may be used in colder weather unlike the above design they both still have purpose in different areas of use. I hope this answered some questions. Take Care.

  • I'm sure this is indeed very simple but you're using words I don't understand and it's confusing me.

  • Any wisdom on carrying these pre filled? Or is that unwise? & yes, this is where my true experience level shines...... what type of alcohol? Rubbing alcohol? Thanks. Great vid, even with it just being stills. bd

  • @mrttou Prefilled is an unwise idea. As for the Alcohol used it is Denatured. It can be purchased in the painting section and HEET in the yellow bottle in the Automotive section. Rubbing alcohol can work but it has to be 91% or higher in alcohol content. Rubbing Alcohol causes soot on the bottom of the pots and is not always the most reliable fuel for these types of stoves. Thanks for watching and I hope I have answered your questions. Take Care.

  • @NCHiker1970 Yes, you have answered my question. Thank You.

  • @mrttou methyl hydrate is good 2

  • @mrttou Yes. As he said, use denatured alcohol. Rubbing alcohol has water in it. So not only do you get microscopic ice crystals in your fuel, causing complications, but you also lose some heat to the water which delays the eating part even more. :)

  • @AtomicElbowDrop Thanks for the info.

  • In order to prime the alcohol stove one needs to pre-heat the liquid fuel into a vapor and to build up a small amount of pressure to push the vapor out the jet holes. The hotter the liquid the faster, hotter and taller the flames. Without the pre-heater tray it takes a long time to get the stove to prime and longer until you get to eat. The pre-heater helps you get the stove going faster and keeps the stove off the ground. I hope this explains the need for the soup lid and the pre-heater.

  • This is neat thankx you just saved me tons of money :D i can use this untill i get my bunsen burrner up and running and i ca make my own fuel! :D

  • dude i was high when i watched this and the music touched my soul whats the song?

  • @snower5554 Dude (LOL) the music comes from the "Guitar by the Sea" CD. I cannot recall the name of the song but I do know it is the first song on the album. I have to admit it is a very relaxing song and Im glad you enjoyed it! Take Care.

  • If I'm out in the middle of the woods and out of isopropyl, will gin or vodka suffice?

  • @ThatsMrMoronToYou sure, denature alcohol is safer for household but any alcohol will work, *ACETONE: will burn for a LONG LONG time BUT extinguishing it is dangerous as you need A LOT of water to extinguish it

  • @hellx159

Denatured alcohol is just regular alcohol mixed with toxics to make it undrinkable. This was made law to prevent everyone from drinking rubbing alcohol at $2/litre instead of vodka at $20/litre,

In a small stove like this one Acetone can easily be extinguished by cutting off the air supply, just flip ur pot upside down and cover it for a few secs.

  • @pauluminous I thought the toxic chemicals were added so that the manufacturers could avoid having to add the hefty alchohol tax to it?

  • @KristofskiKabuki

Well yah, That's what I ment, sort of anyway; it's only done to force the people to buy expensive and taxable products. It's the consumer's money they're after, the manufacturers couldn't care less. I think I replied to a poster who stated the alc was denatured for safety reasons.

  • man ... you sister sure likes mountain dew haha

  • i just made this stove, added our House hold 93% alcohol and it works amazingly.

only drawback is getting the alcohol down in that lil tiny hole without spilling all over. i need to get my hands on a bottle similar to yours. thx ALOT for this lil trick. i cant wait to time it..see how long it will burn.

  • @bbroegger I hope you get as much use out of yours as I did out of my first one which is still in use by the way after almost 5 years! I say it has a good track record! Enjoy your stove and show it off if you would not mind. I like to see how people modify or how they use the stoves. Take care!

  • Hey Drak, Simply made. Thanks for sharing another fine quality stove and Keeping it simple.

  • @nj4x4fever2 What you been Hiding? I thought you would like this one. It has turned out great for a lot of people with only a few issues. Sometimes Simplicity is the answer!

  • i know a gas stove that doesnt need to be perfect 1 soda can 1 razor a circle of tin foil 1 stick lighter a bottle of gas anti freeze (ps this liquid can be found at any hardware store) With the razor cut the non drinking end off the soda can at any desired hight. Poke holes in the sides or top make and big hole in the middle. put the tin foil circle under your stove. Then add the gas anti freeze. Then use the stick lighter. And voila a working stove!!!!!
  • Thanks for sharing this!!! I am going to make one right away! Can you tell me how much fuel I will need per day for 2 people? Morning coffee and dehydrated eggs and 4 cups of water in the evening for dinner...I think maybe 10 cups of water a day.

  • @RecoveringCarboholic id say a gallon

  • what kind of alcohol

  • What is the song?

  • Hey thanks for the heet thing I tried goin to wal mart they don't have it but in canadian tire I asked if they have it she said only in the winter. I go to the painting section look for denatured alcohol they didn't have it but the guy suggested usin methyl hydrate. So I buy it put it in my stove pre heat it but nothing i can barely see flames comming out from it being vaporized it only works if I continually use a pre heat tray. What should I do now? Fill it up more?

    Thanks for your help.

  • @benreyes747 When I first built this style of stove I found that I had issues like you are having. I added more jet holes on top for a total of 16. That did the trick. In the video I used to few jets and added others later and had better success. how many jets do you have in the stove? One more thing is I have used fiberglass insulation in a few of the stoves and that also helps in some cases. I would have to see the stove in action to figure out what is wrong with it. Cheers

  • how come when i light mine. it doenst light...it just makes a poof sound and smoke comes out. im using 70% rubbing alcohol.

  • @joshyyposhyy4287 The problem is the use of 70% Rubbing alcohol, 30% of it is water, I suggest using HEET in the Yellow Bottle or Denatured Alcohol which is found in the painting section. These two forms of fuel will work much better without soot build up or smoke, each burns very clean. The only time I used 70% rubbing alcohol was at a time when I used a tealight stove and that was in a pinch until I could get better fuel. Better luck in the future to you!

  • with this stove could you use meths instead of alcahol?

  • @Volcomskater404 Meths, spirits alcohol I think are all the same. So I guess the answer is yes.

  • Ok, I've made several of these now and, with the fuel that I can get(ethanol), I found this stove to be very unsuccessful. Sorry but just giving some feedback. All the best.

  • Hey can u help me I light the preheat tray and the stove catches fire but after the preheat tray turns off so does the stove I am using isopropyl alcohol 70 percen do I need to use iso heet?

  • @benreyes747 HEET in the Yellow bottle is what I use most of the time, denatured alcohol in the painting area of the store works good also!

  • Great video, I'm going to attempt your stove this morning. Love the "Keeping it Simple" mindset you have.

Love to see the stove in use in the outdoors to see how it cooks.

    again thanks,

    Jeff

  • The stove seen in the video at 4 min 33 sec has been with me for many years and it still gets pulled out in my shop to make coffee, but the request has been made to show it in action and I will do my best to show it off next camping trip I take. Just give me a short amount of time to get a video up! I would also Like to see the one you have built if that is ok with you?

  • hey nice stove i wanna make one but i have a question can i use a thumb tack for putin in the holes

  • @kip419 Thats how I started out making my first stoves. Thumb Tacks, pins and needles drill bits I say use what you have handy to build one!

  • Nice video man keep up the good stuff, I'm planning to make one but I got one question. What type of alcohol can you use? Rubbing alcohol? Plz let me know asap as I want to make one before I go camping.

    Thanks.

  • @benreyes747 Denatured alcohol in the painting section of any hardware store or walmart, also I use HEET in the yellow bottle which is found in the automotive sections, it is used as a water remover when added to the gas tank.

  • Lol We have the same song at school for our relaxation period

  • Hi! what's the name of that song?? it's so restful...

  • good video but at times its hard to see the text with dark backgrounds

  • Nice idea and photos.. Too bad can't read blue on black lettering.. (phone books do same thing ; red on pinkbackground) Missed almost all of description..

  • made one but failed couldnt stay lit. i used isopropol alchohol any suggestions?

  • @CHROME730 Use Denatured Alcohol or HEET in the yellow bottle for fuel. If Isopropol is all you can find use the one that has 91% alcohol.. Most isopropol is only 70% alcohol and it burns with soot and will not burn very well.

  • @NCHiker1970 i can find heet but is there any other types of denatured alcohol.

  • i just made one and was wondering if that tiki torch fuel would work, cause its the only thing i have right now that might work, i might have gas line antifreeze but im not sure.

  • @astaschak I would say not to use the Tiki torch fuel! Just alcohol. Little things like this can go BOOM with the wrong fuel....Im one who found out the hard way with experiments!

  • @NCHiker1970 alright, and i was just thinking about it, it wouldnt work, the stuff i have is a slow burning fuel its not like alcohol with. and i have alcohol now and the stove works great, i need more jets tho, ill do that sometime and put it in vid response maybe.

  • @NCHiker1970 plus tiki torch fuel usually has citronella or similar mosquito repellents that are toxic and not advised for cooking

  • @astaschak im wondering about the white stove fuel (msr or whatever your fav. brand is...) Any thoughts anyone?

  • @TUNIQlifestyle I dont use any of the white fuels like that in any of the stoves I have built. I use HEET in the yellow bottle or painters Denatured Alcohol in my stoves.

  • @NCHiker1970 i've never seen it used in any vid or by anyone...just know that the bigger stoves run on the same principle of boiling... knowing the white fuel is a different beast, i just happen to have an abundance of it. HEET is an easy to come by thing too...thanks :-)

  • Can you use pure rubbing alcohol for this and how much do you need for how long? What are the measurements on that. This is a pretty handy little project when making big fires aren't really needed for boiling metal canteens.

    Great Video

  • Do you need the denatured alchohol? can you use heet with it also?

  • @4SCARECROWS Heet is denatured alcohol and works great in these stoves.

  • Very good job, I found it very informative, and well shot. Take a look at my ultra lite stove 12gr

  • @Hikerization Thanks for the compliments and I will take a look at your stove.

  • man i almost fell asleep

  • thank you does any Alcohol work thank you

  • I am back to view your video again. I am going to build a more up-to-date model and want to use some of your idea. This is a great production and should be number one when someone searches for a "Pop Can Stove". Perhaps you should edit your description to include those words. The new alcoholics should see this video first.

  • This looks like a really cool idea and project. The only thing I don't understand is that it seems like the flame would be suffocated when you place a pan on the top of it. I mean it looks really neat when it's just burning without a pot or pan but when you seal it off with one, wouldn't the flame just go out due to lack of oxygen? Thanks for any help and again, nice video.

  • This is a great stove! Thanks for showing me how, now all of my friends are jealous.

  • Comment removed

  • Today the power went out at my house so I decided to make one of these stoves and it worked great!!

It cook some left overs from last night in just under 30 minutes. This was a very helpful video, I will Subscribe and rate :)

  • i don't have a driller can i make the hole manually...or any alternative of making the hole

  • @ukiscamote No need for a drill, just use a pin, needle or thumb tack to make the jets, Just be gentle when tapping them in! That is how I first started making jets for my first stoves.

  • @ukiscamote i just made one by working a safety pin to make all the holes and a screwdriver to make the center hole bigger

  • Thanks for making this video. I am going to make this stove. Thank again!

  • @389Lee Glad to hear your going to build yourself one! Its a trusty stove I have one that is now four years old and it still runs strong!

  • I like this design. It's better than tryin to fit one half into the other. Sometimes you get the two pieces cut and get a split it it was all for nuthin. This way seems fail proof.

  • @mporba I look at a failure to build it as a leanring tool that leads to a success. It is a simple made stove that works great. And I have been in your shoes with the split side on the other style of stove it is upsetting.

  • I missed the message the first time. If you pack it in pack it out. Thank you!

  • If more would follow that little bit of advice the trails and the great outdoors would be much more enjoyable and less infected by the worlds worst animal....Man. These days it is hard to go anywhere without seeing something left behind by an uncaring individual. I tr to put it at the end of most of my videos. Thanks for commenting on it maybe it will open others eyes now it has been mentioned!

  • We always turn the camera away from all the mess. This summer we plan to do a few shows on this subject. We think it is time.

  • Thats a great idea! I started one last year and the wife dumped all the pics. Not sure what she was thinking at the time but after I explained to her why I had them she felt pretty bad about it knowing that we both have the same feelings about the pack it in pack it out message. Good luck with the video and as sad as it may be I am sure you will not have to travel far to find what you are searching for for footage.

  • Good vid. Thanks, man.

  • Well made, informative videos like this sicken me, (They remind me I have to go to work tomorrow instead of go camping:( ) Hey, all kidding aside, great job NCHiker, can't wait to build and try this thing A.S.A.P. BTW great soundtrack too! Hope you are out on the trails until you are 100 ! Godspeed!

  • I guess this stove has been a hit for a lot of folks out there! Let me know how your stove turns out! I may be on the trails on my 100th birthday but I think it will be in the form of ashes LOL. I even have a trail picked out which is very close to my heart!

  • Wow I just made one and Its perfect the only thing is after two burns The cab started to come loose. I will go to the store and buy some JB weld tomorrow maybe that will fix it?

  • Glad it worked for you, I don't think I ever had the cap come loose on me but it sure could happen I guess! a dab of JB Weld should do the trick!

  • i know what u mean bro, my sister drinks TONS of soda and keeps em in a bag until she recycles luckily she exorcises or....u kno

  • hey, i tried my meths

they burned for ages and they burned HOT!!!

  • Outstanding! Guess giving it a go worked in your favor!

  • can you use metholated spirits? or is that a poor fuel?

  • I think it is the same thing if I am not mistaken. Best way to find out is to give it a go and then let us all now!

  • hey deerdriven485 here and just wanted to ask, could you get ill if you used the food to cook food like marshmallos lol

  • @deerdriven485 srry i meant fuel

  • I've done it and never got sick. We made S'mores over one while hiking one night.

  • I like the over fill picture

  • LOL yeah to much of an overfill and pop goes the top! It is the reason I roll the edges over now. That is somethingI did not show in this video.

  • Very clever! 5/5

  • great vid..i was just wondering, is it save to cook using Heiniken beer cans?

  • I have used them for years and never had a problem. I have even written to Heineken and from what I got in a letter stated that there should be no ill effects from using the can as a cook pot. It is not like we use this every day of the year also. We may use this for a few weeks out of the year to a few day down to a distance hike lasting for 4 months, then I would recommend something a bit more durable to take along. Thanks for Commenting and the compliment and hope I answered your question.

  • Could these be made to heat a small area of a house?

  • Heres an idea! get a pan with some water, place some rocks in it, then place the burner underneath it, & there youll have your heat & a little bit of steam.

  • this is a survival stove. compasses and drill bits?

  • In a way it can be used as a survival stove, The compass helps place a marked area to put your jet holes in to make a center burner for a Heineken Pot. The drill bit in this case was an old sewing needle, but I have used a 1/16" drill bit and had good results.

  • Nice video, it looks a good little device you made there, I might try it myself thanks for posting :)

  • love ur vid now i know what i was doing wrong thanx

  • nice mesage at the end to hikers,

    very good video

    5 stars

  • i had an idea to stick a candel under the ctove that would give a big enough flame to boil

  • I would like to see the results of that testing when you try it out!

  • i don't if i can make a vid for u cause my computer has been wonky lately

  • k i have got a question that i need an answer on umm so when i try to light it the fuel only stays lit if i have a something heating it up to the point that i can hear the alcohol boiling what can i do and would it work if i mixed in a tad bit of gas oh and by the way i threw on some contact adhesive and wrapped some paper around it so it wouldn't drip and then add on more glue and it held up so far

  • First No GAS... big boom! The alcohol boiling inside is it starting to vaporize its not a bad thing. I had on guy use aluminum tape around the top to hold the top in place. By using a preheater with acohol in the base and a little in the top rim helps keep the stove lit and to continue to burn.

  • when i tried an idea like this one the cap blew off in my face

  • I have also had this happen to me. I ended up placing more jet holes in the design and also rolled the edge over after just to make sure it did not happen again. made the design a bit more complicated but now its a little more safer to use. Did it pop its top at the priming stage?

  • Be careful drilling the center filler hole. The drill bit snagged on the hole and spun the sharp edge over my thumb. Yikes! Can't believe I did that, but then again shit happens.

  • Been there done that LOL. We all make a mistake or get caught when we least expect it.

  • Ouch that sounds painful.

  • great video and an interesting design! (most pepsi can stoves have 2 can bottoms facing outwards)

I can imagine preheating it without the priming dish, just by igniting small amount of alcohol spilled at the top circular groove, although I don't know if it would work.

  • Thank you for the compliment and just to let you know the preheating by adding alcohol to the top does work but it takes a long time and extra fuel. By adding a wick around the bottom or using a preheater tray I found to be the best way to get it going fast. Hope this saves you some time in your efforts.

  • I thought so. Thanks for the info!

  • I just made a stove with the can bottoms facing outwards so the fuel can drain into the filler hole. after I place a penny over the hole, I squeeze a little fuel into the "bowl" and around the rim (w/jets), then ignite with lighter. Works great or me.

  • nice stove. how tall is the base?

  • awesome video, thank you for making this, i'm gonna make one and show my friends when we go camping in 2 weeks, i think they'll like it.

  • Hope you get as much use out of yours as I did from the ones I have made! Enjoy your stove and I hope you show it off here on youtube so we can all see what you come up with and how it works.

  • How much clorox treated / Britta filtered water has that battle veteraned stove seen--880 gallons? lol

  • In my design, I use a wick of an old shamwow my wife had laying around, I just cut it in 1/14 strips and rolled it up inside the bottom can making a coil to soak up and retain the alchol.

Also I like to put 18 jets spaced evenly apart on the sloped part of the burner can, with six holes in the center.

To answer his ? about fuel, I use denatured alchol when I can, it burns so clean, you CAN use regular rubbing alchol as long as it's atleast 70% rated. THE REST IS JUST WATER

  • Never thought about using the ShamWow(yup I got dupped by that one too) We found that after a few uses it was useless, but if it makes a good wick I have new ideas. I will let you know how it turns out. As for the 70% rubbing alcohol I have never had that much luck, I tend to use 91% rubbing alcohol only if I have no other choice for fuel.

I would like to see your stove in working action to see how it works, that is if you do not mind. Thanks for the comment!

  • Try salting out as much H2O from the isopropyl as you can using KCl. Alcohol floats to the top after a night, and any residual salt in the fuel makes the flame burn violet and hotter. (NaCl makes the flame yellow). The faster your jet (smaller the hole for constant number of holes), the more air is sucked in and the bluer the flame. Iso will burn blue, it just needs more air than it can naturally aspirate. Placing a pot over a stove that flames out from too small holes will stay lit.

  • WHAT SHOULD I USE FOR A FUEL! SPECIFICALLY!

No one seems to tell me, or put it in the video.

  • I would be happy to tell you! The fuel I use is HEET in the yellow bottle. It is gas line antifreeze. If you cannot get that where you are at then I suggest Denatured alcohol found in the paint section of hardware stores or walmart. Hope this helped you out.

  • Great, i also i heard i can use crushed up chalk for insulation.

  • I have never tried it but most of this stove building is experimentation. Have at it and let me know the outcome. I have no chalk here at home and would be interested once I get some to try it out myself. Never know it may turn out to be the next big thing in stove building here on youtube!

  • Thank You! i made this an for me it boiled water in 7 minutes but the fuel stopped burning after 8 minutes..

  • I use around an ounce to onunce and a half and the ones I have made keep burning for about 20 minutes. But that also depends on the weather and other factors. I also use HEET in the yellow bottle as fuel. I hope the one time will keep you interested instead of discouraged. If you decide to build another you might want to try using fiberglass insulation inside the stove some like how it works in the stoves.

  • Great Video! 5/5 very informative, is there any substitutions for the bolt ? i cant find any! Thanks.

  • Thanks for the compliment, as for the bolt you can use anything that you can find that will thread itself into the hole, as long as it has fine threads. Good luck in building.

  • why do the jets go so high if you over fill the pre heat tray?

  • The heat from the flames in the priming tray super heat the alcohol in the stove. The alcohol is basically boiling and forcing the vapors out the jets. To much alcohol in the primer tray can also cause the top of the stove to pop off due to the amount of pressure inside. Kind of like a pressure cooker with a release valve or a tea kettle and its whistle.

  • Which method do you use to find the center of the can? Thankee kindly.

  • I use a calipers most of the time. sometimes I just eyeball it!

  • to find the center easily u can also put a few drops of alcohol(flows faster then water) in the bottom of the can and shake a bit.

This limits the range of the circle and will let u find the center pretty well just by eye.

(k im just to lazy to measure :) ;))

  • Ive been watching alot of videos on alcohol stoves lately and noticed there are two ways to preheat a stove. the soup can lid or wrap a fiberglass string of some sort around the can. Which method do you prefer?
